But were/are Utd not relying on someone to take points of us or the Chavs because they've accumulated LESS points than us, it's how it is, just that when it's described as 'relying on another team' it sounds derogatory.

Why have we not heard about the Scums reliance on another side having to take points off us all these weeks while we've been top, in order for them to be able to go top themselves.

This thread was still going when we were second, so I see no reason for it to die when we could go back top monday. Especially when I expect us to beat Everton.

            They will miss Fellani.
            Forwards.......

Is the operative word, it doesn't have to be that way...our day will come, and when it does..it's likely we'll win the league ISTANBUL STYLE, so lets not expect any big points leads, even if we believe they were there for the taking, when we win it....it'll be one of the best Titles races ever is what i'm thinking...we do tend to do things that way here at LFC.

i don't quite get it really. did anyone actually believed that we'd be running away with the league, that it would be smooth sailing to glory?

it was always gonna be tough to win the title but it's about fighting and not giving in. **** all the doom merchants with their defeatist attitutes. this goes down to the wire and i'm loving every minute of it.

Wish i was, it's exactly how i expected it to be, but that doesn't make it any more enjoyable, actually i tell a lie, it's only the odd result that have really left me disconcerted, yesterdays for example...so ****in late..jammy *******s, and why the fwc didn't Bolton score one goal...one measley goal to take advantage of a scum off day in front of gola.

Ah well, a tasty game on monday anyway, and what a game to win, beat them and go top in the process.

People believed we'd win at home to Stoke, Hull, Fulham and West Ham. If we had, yes we'd be running away with it.

If you love the fact that we were 8 points ahead of MU and are now behind them, then i find that odd.

of course we all expected to win against those teams. fact is however that chelsea didn't expect to drop those silly points either and the same applies for united. they too could argue that they'd be running away with it had they won these "easy" games.

and by the way, the gap between us and united was simply because we had played more games than them.

i love the fact that we're actually challenging for the league in what is a very difficult season with loads of dangerous, competitive teams involved. we've been fighting for 4th at this stage of the season for a few years and now we're in a great position to finish first. it was always gonna be tough and it was always gonna be tight.

Thing is though fred, i'm not actually interested in what Chelsea and United do - or rather, i shouldnt be, because if we'd done what we should've done, their results wouldnt matter whatsoever. But because we ****ed up, we now need to watch their results and hope they slip up.

I also love that we're challenging but i'd obviously rather we go on to win it, as opposed to just challenging and then falling away. If we'd won those games, i think we'd have gone on to win it. Now i dont think we will.

Anyway, the point is simply that you asked who actually believed we'd be running away with it and the fact is, if we'd done what we should've and what everyone believed we would do, we WOULD be running away with it now.
