Yes but Forrest would come and ALWAYS play football against us.... If stoke came to us and played football we would have torn them to bits.. I know thats our problem, but I think it was just a bit of bad luck yesterday..not to worry!

Forest were a top team though and beat us 2-1 at theirs 2 weeks priory in we had a cup semi in between the 2 games.... they were not horse ****e like Stoke. The massive thing missing from us and other teams is pass and move football and players with the ability to take on and beat people.

FFS it's september numbnuts. what a ******ish thing to come out with this early in the season. hey guess what, if the season finished before the first game had been played then we wouldn't have even qualified for the UEFA cup. You mate seem to be a bit of a dick.

I think there is some disrespect shown to how Stoke have played this season. They managed to beat Villa and were unlucky to get beat by the bitters. You could also point out that they are only 1 point behind Scum. No excuses just facts. Yesterday i would put it down to bad luck.

Compare it to the Boro game when we were totally hopeless, but snatched a win from the jaws of defeat.

The two games have evened themselves out.

Anyway, I find your constant whingeing very tiresome. There are 20 teams in our league. There is no God given right to win it. So please get a life.

Care to elaborate on my point?

It's not luck, you make you're own luck.

I don't know what it is, lack of Killer instinct? Lack of match-winners (we have 2 in Gerrard and Torres but we need more), lack of a plan B (width)?

Whatever it is, Rafa needs to get it right sooner rather than later

i reckon it's just a lack of confidence at times. when a team comes and sticks 11 men behind the ball, the players faces tell me they just aren't confident that they'll be able to break them down and score. when other teams come and attack us, our players know they'll get chances to counter attack and score and then they look confident.

Surely that's down to the manager and the coaching staff then?

They should be replaying vids of LFC v Juve at Anfield in 2005. Get at them from KO and scare the **** out of them. That's the attitude we should be approaching these games with, opposition teams should be intimidated by Anfield. not our own players

It's the same with the 'rafa is perfect' lot too, but because most people agree with that, they dont mind it constantly being repeated.

For the record, i know nobody actually says he's perfect, but there ARE a certain number of people on here who will NEVER criticise, regardless of what happens.

We were not clinical enough in front of goal. I have watched Arsenal,Chelsea and the Mancs struggle countless times against teams that turn up and put 11 men behind the ball. The whole "parking the bus in front of the goal" is a Mourinho analogy of a game the Chavs drew with Spurs. Just because Rafadoesnot play the Arsenal brand of football you crave does not mean there is no method to our attacking.
It wasnt countless chances, we created maybe 3 REAL chances. The rest of our attempts were hopeful long range efforts.

It's not bad luck when it happens season after season. It's a lack of quality players

You missed the point though, i wasnt saying it the way you're interpreting, i was stating the fact that we're 3rd. I wasnt saying whether 3rd is good, bad or indifferent.

Calling me a dick because we're 3rd and not 2nd, impressive stuff.

Mascherano is a quality player, but he's not a match winner as he's not going to get you many goals or assists (except against the SCUM )

We needed a quality wide man this summer but instead we went for Keane. Shame really

I actually think Mascherano would've helped our attacking play against Stoke, he plays at a high tempo and drives forward quickly, as opposed to in a slow, methodical laboured manner.

Agree totally with what you said there. I think two quality wingers were the priority after a left-back and right-back. Right back problem was not solved and neither was the right wing.
