what's shocked me is this was ten years ago! I posted that I played Saturday football, west Cheshire, I remember it like it was yesterday

Souness made me laugh - he just looked like he wanted to fight, roy hodgson was class though, very interesting to listen to - not just about us, but his analysis about all the games was interesting - similar to Bobby Robson, who as I have said before is probably one of the only people in football that when he talks everyone listens.

TBH.......Watched the 90mins on BT tonight. Though that does sound like the Whelan I recall.

He just sounded like a bitter little idiot tonight. Putting down players pretty much for the sake of it at times, and it came across like all he wanted to do was slate Liverpool players.


Throw in the fact that he comes across as utterly clueless about the modern game and seems to have very little knowledge about the players he watches.


Had to laugh at one point when he was on about a shot that he said Milner took. The replay flashes up and there was Mane taking the shot
