If we were to continue this form through the rest of the season we would finish on approximately 100 points!

Agree with El Zhar deserving a chance. He has done well every time he's come on this season.

I think most people on the board have given up on Pennant. He's not a bad player, just not Liverpool class. The sad thing is he has the talent but lacks courage and application. He really doesn't bring much to the team in my opinion.

We could do worse than giving El Zhar the games Rafa has earmarked for Pennant and seeing how he fares.

              Not really.

              We only drew with Stoke.

It is always hard to go from the major wins to the smaller games, and it was great to get the necessary result.

Doesen't sound like I missed a whole lot tonight, judging on the comments on here, is that about right?
There were a few too many sloppy passes etc, but we totally dominated the game and there were a fair few passages of awesome link up play that on a different day would have led to goal of the season contenders.

I do, and I hope he keeps saying what he says, because it's obviously working.

Me too. He is the one player in our squad that I dont rate or want.
Rafa thought the same and I hope he still does.

Yeah thought Pennant was poor again. He dug out one or two decent crosses but his contribution was once again negligible. El Zhar must wonder what he has to do.

A replacement for Pennant will do me. He is unreliable
We won against a good team, who would be all out trying to impress their new gaffer tonight. This was without:

Keane, Torres, Agger, Skrtel, Mascherano and Riera - Who were all out for one reason or another.

And yet we still dominated the game and played the other team of the park. We didn't create loads of clear cut chances, but we created enough. It is clear that if we stay solid at the back we are always likely to grab a goal.

We have been lucky at times this season when getting a result. But I could also argue we have been unlucky to. Against Stoke we had a perfectly good goal ruled out whilst we created more than enough clear chances to have won three games.

Tonight we deserved to win, and when you can say that you know we have played well and created chances. Pompey deserved nothing and that's what they got.
                          Forwards.......

Well based on your posts about Lucas on here and what others have said Nicholas said, to be fair I can't see a lot of difference between the two of you.

We've won 8 games without losing, yet our goal difference is +9.

                              That's a bit funny.

Exactly. Like Riera he brings a buzz and unprectictability and gets the crowd going.
