Originally posted by PTP View Postexactly the point i'm struggling to make - i am baffled that people want rafa gone - yes he makes mistakes, but he is liverpool through and through - I'm staggered to think people should sack him - why? firstly, who would you want to replace him, secondly, say we finished 3rd in the league just 3 points off the top, thats depserartlley close and unclucky and people are saying he should get sacked - so then what, reina, mascherano, alonso, torres turn round and say i am going too, a new manager comes in and gets rid of all the coaching staff, and we start the whole process of rebuilding again, menaing we will be another 3 or four years from challening, and then say if the new manager does a good job but doesn't iwn the league in the 5 years despite the fcat we improve and come even closer, what sack them!! - ****ing hell are people expecting that if we sacked rafa this season, and brought in say Jose Mourinho - that next season we will beat everyone 5-0 and win the league with 100pts
Agree though, it's all quite ridiculous IMO.

it's not ridiculous - it's ****ing bizarre - i certainly not one of these people that are always positive and i'm certainly not part of the rafa can do know wrong brigade - when frustrated and pissed of, yeah i will have a go at players/managers etc when i feel it's justified but i am a realist - and realistically - right now, although there are a few problems, i have been fuming at rafa and some players at games like portsmouth at home, where depsite the 1-0 win, we were ****ing terrible people have to be more realistic - i just don't understand what people want or expectOriginally posted by Reggie View Post
Yes we all want every single player to play like maradona every week and we win every game and win every title - but come on that isn't goign to happen -right now, at this moment in time i am just gobsmakced that people can be as so blunt to say - that if rafa doesn't win the league this season he should, depsite the fact they have zero idea how the rest of the season will pan out - it's ridiculous
As i said somehwere above - i am not saying rafa is unsackable! - but who knows what might happen in the future - yeah ok if we really drop of the pace, **** up, the players lose faith, rafa loses the plot, and we end up finishing 4th again but like 30 points of the pace - yes defo his situation should be assessed at the time
but it's just as feasible to say that we finsish 4th but 4pts of the title cause it's the closest chase in history and we fought too the end and are despertatley unlucky!! - **** it i say rafa should be hung!
i'm going on lunch cause i am just so ****ing confused i have no idea what i am trying to say anymore!i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

**** knows mate - but i guess some people just have totally different expectations - thats fair enough, i have plenty of mates who see nothing but good in liverpool and plenty of mates who see nothing but bad -Originally posted by Woobus View PostHow has this thread turned from congratulating the players to slagging Keane, Dossena and talk of sacking Rafa. Feckin hell some people just cant be happy, top of the league, most ever points in the Champs League and still crap like this.
With some people there is just no understanding them - I just don't know what would make them happy, i don't think they have agendas as such aimed at particular players or the manager -
i just think they are the type of people who have to be negative no matter what - seriously - even if we sacked everyone single person at the club and replaced with the worlds bestest and greatest and nicest in every position from the directors to the players to the tea lady, and we became the greatest ever instuition in the history of mankind, winning every single game, playing unreal never seen before amazing football, every single penny we made we gave to charity, we were so good we created world peace, our defence cured cancer and our attacks made every single person orgasm, our half time pies were worthy of the greatest restuarants in the world, and santa claus and the easter bunny replaced tom hicks and george gillet, we would still have some ****ers complaining that Bono shouldn't be an assistant coach

.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I am pissing myself with laughter.
What's funnier is reading it back to my wife you has no interest in football and laughing out loud while she has a blank disinterested face.

Mind you I would still like Reina to play like Reina instead of Maradona.

I would gladly push the putton on any cnut booing our own players.Originally posted by Crazy-Horse View PostJockey had a great article on the BBC website a couple of days ago about the groans of home fans. He was actually talking about Eboue and the reaction he got from the Arsenal supporters, but it was quite appropriate to Lucas.
I won't post the whole article, but this bit particularly struck a chord

Your expectations are admirable but unrealistic in recent climate. A discussion not for this thread but it has to be said.Originally posted by rage View Post[/B]
rafa fails to win the league this year he's sacked. both my opinion on what will happen if he fails and what should happen after 5 seasons here.
i really do't mean to be negative or provocative but imo rafa knows the stakes are now higher than ever

Nobody's got 'so excited', people are pleased that we won convincingly away in europe, with a weak side and they're happy to see fringe players perform well and in some cases, scores goals which will help increase their confidence. Furthermore, trash or not, we were playing at a fairly high level of competition and it's pleasant to see that there are circumstances where fringe players can come in and offer a valuable and useful input. Certainly proves they do have their uses and this helps justify their presence in our squad.Originally posted by rage View Postnow now scratch you know you'd miss me if i left. as for craig calling me a WUM. Nearly amigo, I'm just wound up that we get so excited over putting away trash like psv.
happy we finished top, well pleased we're top of the league but honestly i don't think i'm the only one that's worried about our league form at the moment, especially at home.
I consider myself to be fairly 'feet on the ground' and i dont like to get carried away with things, but you have to see things for what they are.
You come across as though you'll break your back to find a negative slant and it's reaching the point where it does come across as though it's so emphatic, that it cant be genuine. Hence the WUM comment, because some of your input is so bizarre that people struggle to take it seriously.
Myself included.
