rafa gets the plaudits when he gets it right so people are well within there rights to have a go now
we are top yeah but lets face it things cant go on like this
we are if you like top by default - the league may not lie but we are just about hanging on in there
this is our best chance in years to win the league but for some reason rafa and his choice of tactics/formation especially at home is not actually helping
you dont play one up front against weak supposed inferior teams - kuyt had a poor game yesterday - we all know he is one of rafas untouchables - but its not his fault - he is too slow to play on his own he cant make lightening runs - he wasnt bought to - its rafas fault here no doubt
his subs yesterday were shocking and as stated in this thread there does appear to be a personal problem with keane and babel
dossena was raped yesterday by a very average player and is plainly not a good enough player
we all want to win the league but we will do well to finish 3rd in our currnet run
dont forget we beat blackburn last week but played poorly for 60minutes
i think we are all frustrated because we know how much it means to win the league and i can only see us throwing it away in this form

We are establishes as one of the powerhouse football sides in Europe, we win out champions lg group comfortably, we are top of the lg at Christmas breaking records along the way for BEST ****ING START IN THE PREMIERSHIP .. As pointed out earlier, when we win matches post match threads are dead, when we drop points people can’t wait to get on. ‘We are top of the league by default?’ how insulting is that and where is the credit? It’s Rafa fault that we dropped two points, but he he’s not responsible for the 38 gained???

Agree that Kuyt doesn’t suit the lone striker role but I like many others still think that 4-2-3-1 is our strongest formation and it wasn’t until Sky pundits labelled it defensive that I’ve heard anyone complain about it. Gerrard is our best player and that formation gets the best out of him as the two goals showed.

I didn’t necessarily agree with the subs myself but I very rarely do, although how many times this year has Rafa’s changes paid off? Sometimes it pays off, yesterday it didn’t.
