But I am at a loss to explain Rafa's use of substitutes, aye. It looks like he's got his favourites and Dirk is one of them. He's not a centre-forward for me and he endured an utter nightmare today. Had Keane played so abysmally we all know he'd have got the hook.

Dont think we need both Xabi & Mash at home against the so-called "so-called lesser sides" TBH. Wouldve had Stevie next to Xabs, Keane off Kuyt. Ryan/Yoss out right is pretty even at mo, but would be tempted to go Ryan- just for unpredicability/direction & pace. Yoss has had his chance to impress.

Having your faves is one thing- almost completely ignoring 2 of your most expensive signings is another.

we just don't have the mentality to win the league do we. essentially we're bottlers.

i know i'll get slated for being miserable, not supporting the team, 'ffs we're top so be happy' etc etc but i've been getting very concerned at the type of games we're dropping points in. im sorry but that can't be overlooked. i'll take the lucky wins that have got us top all day long and of course i'm really proud of the man u, chelski and city performances where we've actually put in a decent display. but 4 points from 12 is an utter disgrace and relegation form.

apart from a handful of games, we've been p1ss poor. really bad. totally unconvincing. i don't know how we're top frankly. a few last minute goals basically isnt it that have given us an extra 12 points more than our performances have deserved.

we can fight back to 2-2 but then what happens to the drive, determination and offensive mentality once we equalise? At home. To Hull City. We don't keep going.

We aren't a team of winners are we. or perhaps we have a winning mentality but are just absolutely woeful in the ability and technique department. are we just a bunch of determined carthorses?

too soon for rafa's new contract imho and i love the guy. I find im asking big questions of the big man this season after some of these results and my belief is really ebbing. the keane situation is looking a right royal fook up every day that passes. babel likewise.

we're all entitled to our opinions on here and i can accept the 'fook it, we're top so can't be that bad' but i can't entertain the notion that we're the best team in the country. delighted we're top (for now) definitely. but its clearly a matter of time before we're back fighting for 3rd unless we massively buck our ideas up.

Can't be bothered with a Dossena argument mate but Carra played a much larger role in their 2nd and I haven't seen anyone slagging him off yet.

Reina was dodgy as **** in the first half, Riera was pretty poor and god knows why Benayoun is suddenly in the starting line-up ahead of Babel.
