I never expected the league this season. I expected 3rd with a good CL run, a semi, and next year I expected a serious league challenge.
I am of course gutted that we have thrown away a good chance to open up a lead at the top of the league. Still I will stick to my perspective. The start of this season the results flattered us, and that built up an unrealistic hope of us being serious challengers again. That was unrightful based on our performances, and I think we should try to remember that even if we are gutted about the results the latest weeks.

Both Rafa and the players are showing signs of bulking under the massive pressure that comes with being at LFC, a club which more than any other yearns for the league and a return to the glorious past. IMO, winning the league with Liverpool is probably the hardest challenge in football management considering the pressure and the competitive environment and quality of the Premier League.

In all seriousness, yes. Being the second best team over a season would be a good improvement.

Jesus christ, I'm not happy about the recent displays myself but I don't really know what you expect him to do. I don't know who'd change it immeadiately either, it's football and sometimes things don't work as they should. Rafa regardless of what you people think of him is an excellent manager, one of the best out there. I'm delighted with his work over the last few years, taken us to heights Evans and Houllier couldn't dream of.

Despite the bad results recently we're 2 points off the top of the table. I know mancs have a game in hand, but please tell me when was the last time we were heading into February just 2 points off the pace. If we get a run of wins together then half of you lot condemning him will be praising him.

The only realistic manager I'd want to see here is Prandelli, and I'm not sure if he'd be willing to leave Fiorentina as he's got a nice set up over there. I wouldn't want to see Hiddink take over, I'm not his greatest fan although he is a good manager regardless.

Lets see how things pan out at the end of the season. If we come second, I'd still want Rafa at the helm.
I love Rafa and want him to be successfull for us but it's just not happening. I'm with you in that we should wait till the end of the season before reserving judgement.

If he does go then the only other person I'd want is Wenger.

I've never really beenconvinced by Rafa with regards to the league. This season he started to sway me, and although we are still i with a chance, I have had enough of his bizarre ****ing selections and subs. I've tried to stay positive for a while, but tonight is a little too much. I very much doubt we will win the league under Rafa. If he goes at the end of the season, so be it. He's a good manager, but his constant over thinking and ****ing negtive attitude is a joke. Tonight was another example of how his weird and wacky selections and subs only make sense to him, and certainly don't do it for us on the pitch.

I would be tempted with Spalletti if Mourinho, Hiddink and O Neill don't work out.

If you look at it realistically, positively, he's changed during his time here. He's evolved and we've progressed. Slowly maybe, but I believe he wants to win badly enough, that he's capable of learning from the mistakes and, being the intelligent and knowledgeable football brain that he is, he'll change as much as he needs to, to win the ****ing lot.

And in the process, he's gonna peel those manc fingers that are clawing at our perch, one by ****ing one, till those ****ers are quiet again.

Nothing wrong with a bit of romanticism mate. It's been my defence often over the last 19 years. Call it what you want. The alternatives aren't nearly as attractive.

On a side note, and completely genuinely, I think, after a couple of years of deliberation and mucho searching, you have absolutely the best nickname on the internet. I'm gutted I didn't think of it first. I literally laugh out loud every time I see it next to the avatar.

I think i'm completely normal btw.

It took you years to decide?

                      Meh.

No, not to decide. To give up the exhaustive search for something that couldn't be found.

                        Honest.

I even admit using it once for a site I never started frequenting. I felt angry with myself for a long time after that whole episode.

It's just a shame you have such a low opinion of sarcasm. Maybe we could've be friends.

Nah. I fell for it and started to believe that he would learn from his mistakes, but has he bollocks. I'm getting more ****ed off as I type. Same old ****. Rotate both the players and the formation for fun. Play ****ing Lucas instead of our stand out CM. He's just had a rest due to the foot injury so why ****ing rest him again? Or if you really ****ing must tinker, rest him for the FA Cup. Bizarre substitutions. Don't even start me on Keane. Tonight was the slap around the face that I needed. Unfortunately, things seem so much clearer now.
