Man.Utd are going to steal the league this year!

    1. I am still praying for a miracle that the scum will lose points vs Arsenal, Boro or man. City. And I am not going to give up 6 games from the end.

    BUT

If the scum win the league this year, it is because we gave them the league. Both at Anfield and Old Trafford we won, we won vs Chelsea home and away.We lost points vs Stoke and the likes of Wigan away where we dominated the game.

We showed that we are better in direct confrontation and they know it. Yes they might have 6 points advantage but make no mistake Rafa is a better tactician. Fergie is scared **** of him, Even Wenger is better than Fergie and if Wenger has the money available Arsenal could have been there this year as well.

Looking forward for next year. We will be better, have more experience and will have better wingers!!!

You can't steal a league fella.

A cup perhaps but not a league.

          Usually that is the case.

But IMO we are better, have a better manager and it was only vs small teams with the absence of Torres that we did not grab the 3 points.
The scum are richer so if Rooney is injured, they have Tevez etc.
          that is the only difference.

The league table doesn't lie (what a wank phrase but true)
Next year will be our best chance because up to this season we haven't ever really challenged. There is a decent chance we'll be in the hunt until the second last game of the season and after being adrift around Dec/Jan in previous years its brilliant progress.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

'Deserve' has a lot of meanings though. Of course it is deserved as the winning team has completed the job of getting more points than anyone else, job done, deserve the prizes. Whether the winner was, on balance, the best team, and whether the runners up did not deserve not to win it (sorry for the double negative), were more unlucky with injuries etc is a different matter.

We're only better if we can back it up with points. Them being 'richer' isnt the only difference, it's a lame excuse. Maybe if we'd not ****ed up with our own £20m transfer, we could have bridged that gap?

If we're 'better', but dont win it, questions to be asked of the manager, no?

                      Unfortunately true.

Think Fergie will overhaul his strikeforce in the summer, Abramovich has rediscovered his love of the Chavs and thus wants to spend big again, Arsenal's youth have had another years experience and will come good in the long term and god knows what Man City are going to do with their billions.
                      We come not to play.

Don't agree.. yet. Lets first see what happens on the ownership saga this Summer.

Who knows, come the Summer we could be in the strongest position financially, and tbh our team only needs tweaking now rather than a major overhaul.

This season has taught us a lot and the players will be far far better for it next season. Don't forget that when ManUtd won the league after 26 years and they had nearly won it the previous season before being pipped by Leeds.

                          Very true.

It was ours for the taking this season, ManU and Chelsea will not be as bad next season IMO, if anything they will be fine tuning by adding some class, and if rumours are to be believed, we're going to be making wholesale changes and starting over again.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

That's my concern too, I believe we'll improve further next year, but really this year was HUGE opportunity. Chelsea and Arsenal will no way have as bad seasons so I can see a big challenge between all the top 4 next year, whereas this year we've only to contend with Utd, and sporadically Chelsea looking like they could get back into it.

So would be a great year to nick it, and get the albatross from our back so we can really kick on next year.

I understand everyone's a bit down now it looks very unlikely we'll win it but I don't understand the negativity about next season. We all think our first eleven is a match for anyone, we all think we've got an excellent manager, we all recognise this year has seen as a significant improvement on last year (despite, in stark contrast too 07/08, injuries to our two best players) and we all believe the manager will make some signings in the summer.

Yes, the other teams will also seek to improve but it doesn't always work out. Ronaldo may well leave for Madrid, Ancelotti may not cut it over here (like Scolari), new players they buy may not settle whereas ours may, they may get injuries to key players whereas ours stay injury-free, etc. Perhaps we'll need a little more than our fair share of luck over the season but it's not exactly a lost cause.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
