'and sprays the passes about' doesnt scan, you need to lose a syllable

    Take out 'the'. Sorted.

Leave Igor out of it. At least we know he had a rather ugly cock.

Lining him up next to Yossi will have the ladies creaming themselves.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I agree with you there. Had it not been for the injuries he'd cost a hell of a lot more. Hopefully it pays off.

could change it to 'and sprays the ball about'
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Did not realise we had the song ideas in this thread if mods wish to delete my other thread. Nothing in here compares to the following yet:

To the tune of "Just one cornetto" (O sole o mio)

                        Aquilani from Italy
He came from Roma to LFC
He plays behind our Stevie G
                        His name's Alberto not Xabi

As mentioned it could do with losing Xabi's name but I can't think of a change for now.

It doesn't fit very well to be fair. You have to squash it in!

'Toto' is on his way to us for a medical.

Where he may benefit us is in getting the crucial first goal against the lesser sides and his shooting from outside the box and general attacking play will mean we have another genuine goal threat.

Once we score first, we are probably the best counter-attacking side in the country and things become much easier for us.

                            Welcome to anfield Toto

Former Liverpool left-back John Arne Riise says Alberto Aquilani will bring a greater goal threat for Liverpool than Xabi Alonso ever offered.

Riise has played with the Reds’ imminent signing for the last season at Roma and says he has been very impressed to see what the 25-year-old Italian midfielder can do.

Riise said, “When I first came to Roma, I didn’t know a thing about Aquilani.

“I knew all about Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Philippe Mexes, of course, but Aquilani was the player who surprised me the most in my first months with what he could do.

“He’s really good on the ball, with good passing, good movement, he works hard and is a good professional.

“He likes to have the ball at his feet but not because he likes to dribble, he just wants to keep the team moving. He never stands still, he’s always on the run.

“He certainly runs more than Xabi and is probably more dangerous in terms of getting in the box and trying to score goals.

“When I came to Rome he was my neighbour and helped me out a lot. He’s a good friend. Liverpool will be getting a very good player.”

Aquilani is expected to complete his move to Anfield later today in a deal thought to be worth between £18m£20m to Roma.

Price seems top heavy and despite all the mitigating reasons, he has been out injured for a long time. I trust Rafa but if the guy was out injured for so long in the pedestrian paced Serie A, he wont last 5 mins up against ****houses like Vidic.
