It seems as long as we are winning games in the short term most people are happy. But long term without further investment in the squad we will end up being forced out of the top four(especially with man citys spending). Then what? We start asking questions to how it happened!! Calling for rafas head etc etc. The owners need to be forced out now before its to late!!!

Problem is, nothing that SOS can do or have done, is anywhere near effective when it comes to removing the owners.

Trying to zero effect though. What's going to be achieved, other than maybe destabalising the team?

I'm not saying i have a better idea, but the only way to hurt them is for people to boycott buying tickets and merchandise, which isnt going to happen.

What effect do you honestly thinking chanting and leaflets have on them?
Do you sincerely think they care?

If that kind of thing bothered them, they'd have been gone already.

The bigger worry is that all our transfer funds came pretty much from particapation in the Champions League. What happens if we finish 5th. Or 6th? What then I wonder........

If we were building a new stadium and were skint then we would not have a leg to stand on as that would explain to a tee where the money is going. But the reason money is not being spent is because the Yanks have managed to buy the club with only borrowed money and in years to come will own the club by using the club to buy itself! Incedible that they have been allowed to do this!

I can see that in future they will sell the club for £500m and having used such tactics it will all be clear profit, £250m each.
            Forwards.......

I agree. I think they are on a hiding to nothing but at least it's something.
well there was the munich chanting at the SOS christmas party with a huge banner in the background for a start! that was very alarming to see - whether it was a few mindless morons being drunk or, nothing to do with SOS or whatever the excuse is irrevelent.

With the banner draped in the background, and the grainy videoed footage of the chanting, it sent out the very worst of signals!
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

And that is why they have no case to answer IMO. Until we see real alternative action they have my 10000% support.

Is that realistic though? It relies on the club generating enough money to repay ALL the debt. How long is that likely to take, what with interest continuing to mount up?

I was also shocked and appalled by behaviour at the Xmas party. But that has nothing to do with the action they have taken that some people are saying is embarrassing.

I am asking what action have they taken that has been embarrassing?

Im just hoping that with enough pressure from sos it will have an effect on the owners. I know it probably wont but i admire their passion in trying. I just cant see how the club can be successful with our current situation.

It's a whole package though, as an organisation, they're conducted themselves in an embarrassing manner, and those things make people reluctant to want to be associated with them.

Furthermore, their 'we speak for all LFC fans' attitude isnt helpful.

It is my understanding that the debt is getting paid off, in fact to keep onside with RBS the debt had to be reduced by £60m this summer. Of course some of this is just speculation. But if we could afford that then chances are the debt will be paid off.

I admire their passion and effort, and of course fully back the intention.

I just cant honestly see their objectives as being anywhere near realistic.

Right - i kinda agree - it's great that people are willing to put so much effort for the good of our club, but i hate that arguement - it's bollocks and imo used to alienate those fans that think SOS is a waste of time.

I totally agree that the club is a shambles and the blame lands firmly at the feet of the owners who have been nothing short of a disgrace at times -

but imo SOS have come across as an almost militant active group having protests, marches, parading their banner etc, that whilst they may have the right interests at heart, but in reality in my opinion it comes across in totally the wrong way - ie fans of other clubs will be pissing themselves laughing. Similar to how liverpool fans mocked United when they first got took over by the glaziers and their fans were going nuts.
