The campaign is to send a clear and unequivocal signal to the owners that they are no longer welcome at our airport, hotels, restaurants, ground, club or city.
It's not 'our' airport, hotel, restaurant, city. They can fly/stay/eat where the hell they like, whether the fans welcome them at Anfield or not. What a ridiculous idea. This group gets more and more pathetic over time.

So why don't they just shoot them then? If they did, I'm sure their hearts would be in the right place and at least they'd be doing something, unlike us traitors.Originally posted by Daniel mote View Postat least their trying to get rid of the clowns in charge i suppose.. after reading what they have planned i think it is a step in the right directionTrey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

SOS
The Spirit of Shankly Supporters' Union met at The Olympia on Saturday to allow the Management Committee to launch its proposed direct action campaign to see the American "owners" removed from the Club.
The campaign is to send a clear and unequivocal signal to the owners that they are no longer welcome at our airport, hotels, restaurants, ground, club or city. The campaign will focus upon media profile, leafleting, billboards and banners.
We plan protests, banners and chanting at the Debrecen game this Wednesday, at West Ham next Saturday (if you are going please get in touch with Jay McKenna at [email protected]) and the away game at Leeds United (which will have a special resonance bearing in mind we are moving towards being "the next Leeds").
In addition we are asking for anyone who can help with intelligence on their proposed arrival within the city for matches to let us know as far in advance as possible. This will lead to direct, non-violent action, to prevent them from getting from their planes to their hotels, from their hotels to restaurants or pubs, from getting close to our ground, from getting into the ground and if in the ground, to consider disruption within there too.
Interestingly, following our meeting on Saturday we have been contacted by the Club and representatives from the Committee have been invited to meet Christian Purslow on Wednesday before the Debrecen game.
The Committee will be putting the leaflet questions (and others) to the Club at that meeting. Members are asked to email [email protected] if they have any further questions about the ownership or financing (the meeting will be limited to these issues only) - if we can we will include these and we will, of course, report back afterwards to all members.Oh I don't know.

as much as i hate these yanks i cant see the point of this sos group. it all seems like childish schoolground behaviour on their part and makes us look like right ****s as lfc fans. granted we must get the yanks gone and by next year or we'll be ****ed with the new laws set in place by the fa on club debt and squad caps including home grown quotas. it's all getting too much at the moment.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Oh dear, this is a little sad, a big dissapointment and a massive embarrasment to our club and supporters.
I don't see anyway they could come out of this looking good.
At the worst it will get out of hand and portray us as hooligans and at best it will make us a laughing stock.
This coming on the back of our new record breaking sponsorship is not particularly a very wise chosen time for the protest either.
There are ways to do things.
Unfortunatley this is NOT one of them.

I don't get where some people are going with their arguments. The general feeling I get from other fans is that they want the Yanks out but don't want to do anything towards making that a reality. Why?
Of course the sensible answer is outlined by Craig above, in that actions we are legally allowed to take would have little to no effect. At this stage I would say anything SOS have done has done nothing what so ever to damage the reputation of the club. Rival fans may laugh, but only at the situation we find ourselves in. I take a look around at the state some of the once proud footballing hot beds and you can guarantee that a large majority of fans from clubs in such decline wish they could have done something to stop the rot.
We are in a unique situation where our mamager and local media highlighted the problems within at a very early stage. Such is the grandness of Liverpool Football Club that we are always going to be a big media story and whilst the mud slinging has been embarrassing at times it has continued to show that our club is nothing more than a house of cards waiting for a gust of wind to blow it into complete chaos.
Whilst it would be nice to just pull the bed covers over our heads and pretend everything is fine this is not going to happen. LFC is a massive club that should make money hand over fist. It is not one that should be struggling to make interest repayments.
I don't know what difference SOS will make, more than likely none. But as long as things stay onside I fail to see what bad can come from them. They are in it for the right reasons IMO and doing their best in what is a likely impossible situation. Hicks and Gillet work very much on PR and a group not allowing them to have that is surely a step in the right direction.Forwards.......

hmm no - i dont think anyone is happy as such, you only have to read the takeover reads, or the many posts were the yanks get slated to death. - I think the general consensus is well that SOS might have their hearts in the right places, and it's all great saying "wow they are amazing, cause they are trying to do something about it and those who aren't should be quiet." - in reality, most people think it's just been a bit of embarrasing, bizarre episode that makes ALL fans of LFC look a bit silly.Originally posted by Daniel mote View PostSo the general consensus on here is that we are happy with the way the club is run, with zero trasnsfer budget and over 30 million a year being spend to service debts. BRILLIANT!!i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Of the actions taken by SOS so far what have you found to be embarrassing? It will have little impact but what they have done thus far is hardly dragging the club down.Originally posted by fatistuta View PostOh dear, this is a little sad, a big dissapointment and a massive embarrasment to our club and supporters.

I like the way you add there are ways to do things, yet suggest nothing else. If they break the law then they will be punished by the powers that be, they will also lose any help within the media as such outlets can not be seen to be promoting such groups.
As yet thay have broken no laws and so should be treated and judged on that basis.Forwards.......

I agree. I think they are on a hiding to nothing but at least it's something.Originally posted by Daniel mote View PostFair enough. but i think they should be praised for at least trying to do something to help remove our owners!!!!Forwards.......
