But defensive positioning and tactical awareness, all key in a defenders case, come with age and more playing time. The above might be true in an attacking players case whereby your tactical nous can be overlooked by your dribbling skills or natural finishing abilities for example. Insua may have been thrown somewhat into the deep end this season, but he's an able deputy to our first choice Aurelio, and imo he'll become a steadfast in the team within a few years.“At a football club, there’s a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques”. Bill Shankly

You can be good enough, and still make mistakes due to inexperience while you're learning your trade.Originally posted by Marky View PostIf you're good enough, age isn't an issue. If you're not good enough, it's used as an excuse.
Have you made any mistakes in life? Does that mean you're not a good enough person? How's that barmaid?
You expect a footballer to get in the team at about 19 years old and never have a bad spell at any point? Maybe we should start a topic on your astonishing lack of knowledge, because lets be honest you are as stupid as you'll find anywhere.
Based on what, a thread in which i give my opinion on Insua?

He'll learn a lot from tonight. Two small mistakes which led pretty much to their goals. He wasnt exactly helped by the rest of the defence and team but he got exposed.
Can see him being part of the first team squad for years to come although Aurelio is still first choice for me and i'd play him on Sunday.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

Whatever. Either way he's ridiculously over-rated by many people on this site.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostNobody's saying the lad is faultless, but he's done more good than bad in his time here and to dismiss a player at his age is foolish."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Oh **** off you ****, you've clearly got a vandetta against him. The 'kid' is very good, and will only get better.Originally posted by Marky View PostLooks the part against your Burnley's and Hull's but when it comes to decent opposition, this kid is found wanting.

So we're still going to play him in big european games for another 8 or 9 years until he peaks? Give me strength.Originally posted by Peatcheo View PostYou are a fool, defenders peak late twenties, by this time they have the experience to master their trade."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been.
