ffs, just heard an everton fan on radio singing the virtues of their manager, and all the time calling him David MOYLES.

Three or four times he said it.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

"Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez describes keeper Pepe Reina as 'amazing' after display at Everton. The best keeper in the Premier League."
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez on his side's hard-fought win over neighbours Everton: "It was very difficult. They were desperate to win but at least we were working very hard. We were lucky with the deflection. They had a few chances and we were playing counter-attack because we were under pressure a lot."

Well done the lads today. Lucas and Mascherano were immense. Defence stood firm against the arial bombardment and Reina earned us the points. A vital win for us and hopefully we can put a run together now to get the spirits up again. Thought Benayoun and Riera made a huge difference when they came on.

Games like this suit Lucas actually.

He is very good at holding onto the ball and playing a nice simple pass, something we as team needed from more players today.

But on the important side, WE WON!!!! And kept a clean sheep and that is hopefully will help our confidence.

I'm not his biggest fan but I thought he was exceptional today. Masch and Reina will get the headlines but Lucas stood up very well to Felliani who is a bit of a beast tbh. Passed the ball nicely when he had it.

              Clean sheet was massive.

Kuyt was a different player today, much more able on the ball at last. Even that screamer of a shot that just went over made me jump out of my seat. Lets hope his sh*t phase was only temporary. When Riera and Benayoun finally made it on to the pitch they showed why we will finish fourth at a canter. No other pretenders to top four have players that we, Arsenal, Chelsea and manure do.

Not league winning material, but without a doubt top 4.

considering all the garbage written about us were still in with a shout for top 4

We were very shaky at the back with high balls into the box as has been the case all season.I'm not convinced by Johnson or Insua defending to be honest. We've pretty much changed our entire back 4 from last season and it dosen't look like its working.Height is a part of it but we lacked height last season too without much problem.

I'd quicker have Aurelio back there and play Johnson further forward. The boy Kelly showed enough against Lyon to be given a shot

God that was a poor match. Neither team played anything like well.

We won. I think that is more or less all that anyone should take from the game.

We need to keep that back four playing together in my opinion. Without some stability we will struggle to build any sort of form and those four are about the best balance we have.

I think you're all a bit harsh. We were trying to pass the ball in difficult conditions, especially as the pitch was soaking wet. I think our football under pressure, from the back, was excellent. We weren't good in the last third, which was a bit understandable due to Gerrard being totally off form and without Torres. Still we scored two goals, how flukey they were I don't give a damn to be honest.

We were solid, defended relatively well especially against those long balls and corners and kept a clean sheet. We won ugly, only positives.

Think you were watching a different game to rest of the world. We only passed the ball well after we scored the second goal. Everton gave us a good hammering up until we scored that point
