Don't want to make this sound negative so will try to put a positive spin on it. All this season we've had as bad players on the pitch as manure have. But manure's 'style' of football, even with donkeys like Berba, Nani and Fletcher, is to attack the team via their fullbacks. They have been caught out, but they've not neglected this tactic.

We had until yesterday. We show fear and drop the likes of Aquilani all too often. Kuyt and Ngog get no service then get slated for doing nothing. This is the first time this season I think I remember seeing Carragher AND Insua parallel to the oppo's 18 yard line. I was shocked, but why did Rafa leave this so late in the season because they are clearly under instructions? As long as Rafa now sees this is the correct way to approach games then we'll finish fourth at a canter.
    One tit for another.

I think what the match show us yesterday was that our luck has turned. Those goals would either have not gone in yesterday or we would have conceded the goal from that goal line clearance if it was in the first half of the season

I was actually quite impressed with Carra. He was moving forward all the time which was most unlike him.

      More of yesterday's performace please.....

Sorry Craig, I think my thoughts and my words toppled over each other. I meant the second half was more open -because- of the two goals we scored, not that we scored them both in the second half.

It's about applying enough pressure to make the other team make errors and that's what we did last night. We were good value for our win.

Yes goals are scored from defensive errors. But this one was from the keeper spilling and the defender somehow NOT sticking his foot forward to block the ball. You cant win every game like this. You usually do it by earning your goals, not RELYING on the opposition to let you get gift ones like that. Majority of goals from say Torres are not defensive mistakes, they're pure class and earned.

WTF are you on about? We earned our goals by going forward, putting them under pressure and creating the chances to shoot.

              Stop whinging.

IF we beat Everton next week and Chelsea beat Arsenal at Stamford Bridge we would be 5 points behind Arsenal with 14 games to play.

Wouldn't it be funny if Man City broke into the top 4 but not at our expense?! Every time you turn on the radio or TV there are people queing up to slag off Rafa, it would silence all these jump on the bandwagon critics

I'm sorry, first goal was very lucky to go through, second goal was a major massive deflection. They attacked as much as we did. No whinging. Pointing out the obvious.

How was the first goal lucky?

It's not lucky because you say so. Explain why it's lucky.

The keeper spilled the ball first, although thats not really the part I was calling lucky as keepers can do that, even if the shot wasnt particularly strong to begin with. It was Kuyts thrust at the ball forward towards the defender who was right infront of him on the line who was too slow to raise his foot up to stop it. Very poor reflexes for him as that ball wasnt travelling very fast. I saw it as a pretty lucky goal to get away with. Scrappy, but fortunate. I wouldnt label that one as skill.

Or maybe it was a sitter of a chance that would get blasted home easily 90% of the time. Maybe the Bolton defender & keeper were the lucky ones, that Kuyt didnt strike it cleanly?

And when did the keeper spill it? It was a cross which Aquilani nodded back into the danger zone.

Maybe I recall wrongly but I thought it smacked into the keepers hands first to bounce back to Kuyt.

                            You recall wrongly.

So perhaps, your judgement on it being 'lucky' is also wrong.

Watched the replay again. Ball going back to Kuyt was off Aquilina, sorry. But Kuyts stab forward was a bit lucky to go in. Defenders foot was a foot distance away from blocking it. I call it lucky. You might not but thats fine.

Vhlaka is utterly wrong. We deserved to win yesterday there was nothing lucky with that. Some of our passing was excellent. He has probably seen the wrong match.
