We deserved to win last night, we dominated Bolton and played some excellent football at times. The confidence is coming back to our team slowly, yet we're still some way from our best.

Watched the replay again. Ball going back to Kuyt was off Aquilina, sorry. But Kuyts stab forward was a bit lucky to go in. Defenders foot was a foot distance away from blocking it. I call it lucky. You might not but thats fine.

Well I'm not really being negative. If I was being negative I'd say we didnt deserve to win the game. I said our two goals were a bit lucky which helped make the game alot easier for us, but yes we did deserve to win the game. First half though was fairly poor. The fortunate goal helped. We didnt dominate the game however. So I'm not meaning to come out sounding negative, just saying I really hope we improve after that, what is to me, a lucky win.

Its not really. You're just using it in a more far fetched way. Its no different to Kyriakos blocking the goal earlier, except he had to use his back leg instead of his front leg. Both times the ball was well within reach with little effort. We blocked it they didnt. I see it as lucky.

We deserved to win and we were pretty convincing in 2nd half, enough to know if they scored we could have easily got another.

Another victory and an ok performance against a piss poor bolton side.

I see them both as doing what they're supposed to ie, Kuyt scores a goal, because he is an (alleged) attacker, and Kyriakos stopping a goal because he is a defender. Thats what they're there for!.

Yes if we hadn't taken our chances and they had taken theirs they could have won, but they didn't alternatively if we'd taken all our chances we could have won by 6 or 7. I don't think we were lucky we controlled the game and deservedly got the 3 points.

But that doesn't make us lucky. To make an analogy, if one player consistently scores from free kicks and another rarely scores from free kicks in similar positions, do you say the one that regularly scores is lucky or that he is better?
