Oh, on their achievements, they also appear to have alienated one man who seems to be trying to sort out the financial situation, in Purslow...smart move that one.

this was from the fiver a few weeks ago and made me laugh - kinda sums up SOS i reckon
Few things encapsulate the rancour felt by Manchester United fans towards their club hierarchy than this wearisome exchange between David Gill and a shouty Student Grant type who buttonholed the club's chief suit at a recent Q&A session at Birmingham University. Alluding to a "debt is the road to ruin" banner (referencing a famous quote of Gill's) that had been unfurled at Villa Park [http://guardian.chtah.com/a/tBLdYKQA...mYHsGWL/fvr21] the previous evening, Gill's inquisitor asked the chief executive about it.
Shouty student: "Did you see the banner last night?"
David Gill: "I did see the banner."
SS: "What did you think of the banner?"
David Gill: "Eh? It's a banner, isn't it?"
Sadly, that amusing over-reliance on the word "banner" was about as cerebral as what could have been an excellent exchange of views got [http://guardian.chtah.com/a/tBLdYKQA...CmYHsGWL/fvr22, as the United fan's overzealousness in the role of interrogator provided Gill with the perfect excuse not to answer his questions on the grounds that he couldn't "get a word in edgeways".
As nobly intended as it may have been, on the Protest Against American Owners scale of 1-10, where Marching From A Pub You Were Going To Be In Anyway To A Match You Were Going To Anyway rates a 1, and Organising A Complete Boycott Of The Manchester United v Liverpool Match on 21 March rates a 10, we can't award this any more than a 1.5.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

So they are all a bunch of troublemakers right? Have they given any 'official' responses to those allegations?"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

He would have been. Which is why his family have publicly backed SOS.Originally posted by Scratch View PostI guess they just thought that SOP or SOD sounded a bit wrong, so they went with Shanks instead...still grates tho, that they would assume that the great man would be right behind their ideals.

Dont get me wrong we have always got right to make people aware 'our' opinions and so we should. But i dont think these generally futile and quite frankly childish protests are the way to go about it...... Liverpool fans have more class than that.“…Slip like Freudian, your first and last step to playing yourself like accordion.”

And just one other point about the 'Liverpool fans have more class than that' thing...
Why do you think Liverpool fans, as a collective, are any better or worse than many other sets of fans? Like most big clubs, the majority of our fans are pretty decent folk, whilst we have smaller groups of dickheads, like pretty much any club with a sizeable fanbase.
It's very nice to go around thinking we dont have idiots following LFC, but anyone who went to Athens in 2007 will be able to tell you otherwise. In fact, pretty much anyone who's been to any Liverpool game.
