I know my old man better than anyone, apart from my mother. But i wouldn't assume to know his opinion on matters concerning Engineering, altho he has devoted his entire working life to that. Nor would i assume to know where my mother stood on all matters teaching related, altho she's been doing that since i was born. I certainly wouldn't put forward my opinion and state that it was theirs.

Shanks was not alive to see the footballing revolution, and the man himself was never interested in anything but what went on at pitch level, famously so. So to assume that he would be up in arms about something that he could never have forseen is a leap, even if it does have the public backing of his family......his daughter, i believe, who has since distanced herself from SOS, since around the time of their "Munich" incident?

i'm on the comittee as the unions elected travel officer ... i hope you understand what we are trying to achieve here and how much voluntary effort were all putting in [ committee and members alike ] i can only apologise belatedly for the reservations some feel over the unsavoury instance with the said singing, however we must stress that it was a small group of bad apples and after consultation, any future events will be better policed ... time to move on from that ... theres a window of oppurtunity here to force the leeches out ... we would be better served with everyone on board
