Yes, it's not a 'for us or against us' issue.

Maybe some of it is lost in translation or are communication issues, I don't think anyone disagrees with the SOS sentiment of getting rid of H&G it's just how they portray what they do and some of the outcomes (The Purslow affair)

I think that a lot of the decisions made re the Purslow affair were to a large extent, taken out of SOS' hands. I doubt we'll ever know the full truth of what went on, but it seems to me after reading various different versions, that SOS had little choice in releasing what they did

Anyway, as others have said I appreciate being able to read and/or converse with members of the group that are obviously well regarded within the organisation
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I'm not really buying it. Its very PR in the way everything is said. Not to be disrespectful to you melboo. These are the reasons we do this, we have to do it like this, etc. While having it said can come across logical and possibly the right way to do what is being done, it still doesnt change the fact that you need someone to explain it to you for them to agree with it. Thats the part that bugs me. On an EXTREME example its like one of those religious cults where looking in you think wow how can they buy this, but then listening to the leaders you start to nod sympathetically, even if its a bit weird. Again, extreme view but thats whats stuck in my head.

Saying SoS is trying to change their image and do good is a little off. The two recent events were the Purslow meeting thing and also a large group blocking the owners at the stadium, not interested in talking but more abusing. I dont know what happened fully with the Purslow thing but I'm pretty sure one option would be not to do what was done, and I think that would of been the smarter option. The whole blocking the owners at the stadium thing, that just rankled. And I'm sorry but its hard to forget the munich thing. I mean how many people have smiled and patted Itandje on the back after his little moment during the Hillsborough memorial service? Mind you thats no where near as large but its an example.

We look at the things SoS does and they look dodgy. They do come across like thugs and they do look aimless in their xenophobic hate towards the owners. If you need someone to explain to others so they can understand why it was done then I'm afraid you're doing something wrong. It should not be 'negative impression, explaining, positive realisation'. It should be positive positive positive. If it comes across negative then its wrong. Why must they take a supposed hard line because the owners play that way? You're not going to force them to sell because you're intimidating them or something. So why not just do what you're doing with a bit of class? Win the people over, then everyone focuses on ways to convince the owners to sell earlier rather than later.

This isnt politics. Its about supporters uniting in my eyes. I'm not interested in being part of a group that seems more malicious than anything. Why evict someone with a court order when you can smash their house up while they're out. SoS to me is the latter.

I think that would be a very expensive trip for him.

Melboo, can you give a little more info on what a member of SOS has just said on 5Live.

They are having a debate with various people in the game, David Gold, Dan Johnson (Premier League), Gordon Taylor about finances and they spoke to a guy from SOS in the crowd.

Basically the SOS guy said that SOS are a fair way down the road with getting finances in place in an attempt to buy into the club.

                      Can you comment on this?
