Well it would have had to have been wouldn't it according to Riera's interview.

And this Myth about Rafa being quiet and miserable...i see him in many a press conference where he has the reporters giggling like little children, funny though how these myhths seem to become fact after enough agenda ridden reporting, and we are supposed to believe he's this cold disspassionate, grumpy manager, ffs there's a picture of one of our younger players slapping him in the face during training...that's not a manager that doesn't interact with his players.

No, quite right. You called him 'turd' rather than 'a turd', so my bad.

I'm sure i've had this debate before, and was told you're meant to criticise 'constructively' so you cant call players '****' or 'turd', you should say 'not very good' or something equally polite I'm more of your style, same as you'd say in the pub or something, "that fella's ****" and suchlike.

Riera's not pulled up trees for a while, but he's still of some use to have in the squad.

Sorry mate, maybe got lost in translation or i should've made it clearer with a grin or crackoff smiley...joking aside, it doesnt bother me personally if people call players 'turd' or such like, but i know it's not something that most are keen on.

he doesnt do himself any favours with the media......but every tom, dick and harry knows he is not a great man manager, i dont see how this is up for debate?

Yes he has got the best out of some players, but not necessarily due to his man management skills. I teake Torres as a case in point, he has got the best out of him by telling him what to do and pushing him hard, Torres has responded. Thats not man management thats Torres responding to howe Benitez treats everyone........

Players always pull stunts like this..(if he said it) it's happened to Ferguscum, Wenger, Maureen, all have been criticised by players whether still at the club and fed up, or ex players who thought they were better than they were.

But with Benitez, it'll go down in history as fact....what bugs me is so many of our own fans fall for it.

But why isn't Riera getting games, especially when we have been so utterly **** going forward game after game? Whether Rafa, or his coaches, surely it's reasonable to want an explanation of why he's not being picked or what he has to do to get himself picked. Would think anyone would expect such in the same position. If he hasn't had this, it's wrong imo.

On a different note might Riera be the player that Ballague spoke about earlier in the season going on about how they were dropped without knowing the reason and when he hinted that a prominent player would be off in the summer?

I thought he was very good last season so it would be a shame to lose him but I expect us to sell at least one of Babel, Benayoun and Riera in the summer.

rather lose none to be fair. yossi is technically superb at times, riera gives us the width we are screaming out for and babel is a star waiting to be given the green light to burn.
