We had our chances to continiue our goal scoring form, the manager can't score them, and he/we would have been confident Torres would have scored more than one goal given those chances, i'd have put my house on him scoring the last chance he had...that's football.

I still believe the off field **** has an effect on players, especially the ones who could play anywhere they like, it must put doubts in their mind as to whether they are are the right club for their career potential, how long will Torres put up with it before it effects him....maybe either into leaving or playing poorly.

its affecting him already. he is getting riled up so early in games and moaning to the ref.......not to mention the rash tackling he does. he looks totally dejected and if we fail to get top 6 or fail to stump up the cash for at least the 5 new top signings he wants then he'll be off.......either this summer or next january.

I'm sure he's filled in for us there before, don't quote me on it but it might have been in pre-season or something.

I'm sure he could make a go of it. The other options of course are Carra who played there during the Babbel era and Johnson who played there pre-season but I just think for his own benefit, Insua needs to be taken out of the firing line for a bit.

have we still got Steven Irwin on the books? could he do any worse than Insua at the moment?

          or what about Mavinga ?

**** me, there's way too much blind faith on this forum.

Webb didn't lose us the game, what a load of ****. We lost the game because we weren't god enough on the day. Even in slow match replays professionals are split on whether it was or wasn't so to blame Webb for that is complete crap. One person to blame for the penalty and that was Mascher.

The second half was bloody awful, Torres was just left completely isolated. The subs came way too late, Man Utd had setup quite defensively to protect the lead and that was the time to make the changes but Rafa has attackingcreativeplayerphobia and left it until he really had no option. The setup was the problem and its the reason we're so **** this season, teams have simply worked us out.

We've had just as many injuries as most teams have. Everton have been ****ed with injuries for a lot of the season, spent pennies in comparison and sit just 6 points behind us, completely outscoring us since the start of the year. Thats not the refs fault, its not based on one bloody game, and it has **** all to do with players heads being messed with due to wasn't going on in the board room. Its to do with average players, poor form, a lack of belief/confidence, defensive displays which teams have now worked out how to play against, and regular starts for underperfoming players and what seems to be a lack of reward for players who get hardly any time to play but play bloody well when they do get 10 minutes only to be dropped again for the next game. A **** load of this would be sorted with a charismatic, more attack minded manager who's prepared to change things once in a while when things clearly aren't going well.

If Jose was here each one of those players would be walking 10ft high, if players impressed they'd be given a fair chance.

Rafa has to go and a new manager would be like a breath of fresh air.

All this talk of it not being a penalty is clutching at straws for me. I'd have wanted a penalty if the roles had been reversed. We see incidents where players are "fouled" but carry on into the box for them to fall over. It's part and parcel of the game today.

                Fresh pooey stinky air.

edit, probably without the smell of Torres and Gerrard in it too if we fail to get a top manager, which we very well may do, as Maureen isn't available, now he's said the present owners need to go first, and he want's lots of cash to spend, on top i imagine of keeping Torres etc.

In fact Maureen, should now be dropped from these forums conversations on potential new manager, atleast untill h&g leave, and someone with enough cash for him takes over....he prefers a challenge that's finacially well backed.

jose all about the ego / rewards of winning........not the money IMO.

maureen is available so all we need is to get a new investor to get a majority shareholding and he'd come no doubt.

                      excellent post taxi,
sick of watching the team i love playing the
                      worst football in the prem.
even wolves and burnley have a more
                      attractive playing style ,
at least the try and win every match,
wholsale clearout required and a new
                      attack minded coach
