Wonder if Gerrard is the big name player that could be sacrificed to make finances? A 30 year old for £30 million...tough choice to make, could buy 2 good players with that, but would you be able to buy one that could replace the Gerrard of old?

More positive is that our idiotic owners will come under more pressure to sellOriginally posted by 5europeancups View PostRafa says he needs 60m.
The only reason why missing fourth place is possitv is because he will hopefully resign as a result.
The club has been on the brink of spiralling decline for sometime due to lack of investment in the playing staff
Its quite remarkable that we finished where we did last season considering the pittance the owners invested last season
Even had we finished 4th we'd only be treading water (at best) in terms of finances. The manager (whoever that may be) would still have his spending drastically curbed by the debt management we are currently concentrating on
The only way we will improve on the pitch is money invested in the playing staff
Cant see the current owners ponying upBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
