Don't buy official merchandise or any tickets!

Ok lets have a thread to try to organise how we make this happen. Who thinks they can co ordinate this and make it a success.

What do we need to do

    who is in?

I would prefer not to get clutered with it wont work lets try to get a plan and then we can look at it and see if we think its a goer.

Start with all Liverpool websites(Forums) creators getting together to back the plan.

It needs real co-ordination and proper teamwork across all the fans forums for this to work.

Good on you for starting something, maybe it might be worth trying to get some of the other LFC forums here in the UK onboard first. Try contacting the forum administrators and hopefully those forums abroad around the world can also spread the news.

As I said in the Mancs thread we need full on media coverage to get our point across so that every LFC fan can see. It needs representatives off all the main LFC fans supporters groups to come out on tv and do interviews encouraging all LFC fans of all age and gender to boycott sales of any kind relating to LFC.

ok so we need to get leaders of forums involved. Can we get our leader to sort this out?

I agree it has to be properly arranged as if we do it half arsed and those that dont buy get replaced so it doesnt have any effect we wont get another shot at it.

I've PM'd Merlboo about the thread you've started and have asked him to have a look at it.

I've also asked if he can forward my suggestion on to the main LFC supporters groups in some way so that someone can try and get on TV and the radio about it.

Hopefully we can all chip in and do something to help out.

Forums have fans from all over the world,so they are vital in this.
Also i would like our USA fans to get in the face of Tom Hicks and George Gillett as much as possible.Demos or whatever they think are right.

i dont think demos achieve anything well sitting at the end of their drive might but not many other things will lets concentrate on this .

My one concern is it too late for this year?

if it is is plan b) to get people to not turn up and people not buy normal tickets?

or to wait and organise it properly for next year?

This is as i have a we have one shot at this view.

Anyone have corporate boxes on there? can they sit empty too?

It'll be late for season ticket renewals etc but cup games are a different matter. As I said in another thread I would imagine people would be much more likely to boycott cup games than league games.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Ofcourse. An opportunity for more membership money towards SoS parties and such!

You really think a few thousand fans not buying merchandise will make a difference? If you don't buy tickets theres always going to be someone else who buys them. The club is up for sale, a buyer is being sought why attempt to hurt H&G further at the expense of the club?

I did post this in another thread, it's something the guys over at RAWK are doing, kitster is a member on here so maybe PM him about it
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

i am no SOS fan as people will tell you.

the reason we want to hurt H&G is that there is evidence that suggests they wont sell quickly they want a huge price and the market isnt willing to bear that price.

its not about a few thousand not buying merchandise its about a proper campaign that needs to get huge numbers of fans aboard. also every pound not spent at the club does hurt them a little so a few thousand would have an effect not much granted which is why it needs to be bigger.

The third round Europa cup qualifying game would be a good start.

Picketing the club shop? Might be a good way to get the message about official merchandise to fans on match day who have travelled from overseas.

Plus, it would be very likely to get media coverage with cameras there on match days. You saw how much the green and gold thing took off at the Mancs when it got covered in the media.

But it would have to be done properly - polite, orderly, explaining to people what its about rather than looking threatening or intimidating. That would be a big PR own goal.

I think Europe could be a big one especially given the reputation of the Anfield crowd on european nights. If our ground was empty for all our home games in Europe next season that would send out a message, and would gain publicity, whilst the loss of revenue would hurt the owners in the pockets.

I only get to about 6 games per year unfortunately from Belfast but I always buy new tops when they are out and for the kids as well. I have returned my new top already and will be buying nothing having already cancelled my LFCTV sub. No games no merchandise but still red inside....... this is all I can do but I am absolutely commited to this for the long term good of the club. Don't winge about the owners if you aren't prepared to do anything to make life harder for them financially. One fan alone is nothing but together we can make a real difference and hurt the owners. I honestly believe this is the most important battle in Liverpools modern history and one that no true fan can ignore. Email and text your friends and pass this initiative on to all fellow reds. Yanks out LFC forever! YNWA
