That's a maybe tho, not a definite...depends what agreement Adidas and LFC came up with.Originally posted by Marsh View Postok i am not sure it does achieve what you asked. It may though i have a feeling that the less shirts sold everywhere the better. It sends a bigger message
and the want to show your support for the club and if you can do this without the americans getting your cash is the wrong way round for me. I start with the americans not getting my money.
however its a personal choice and we will decide in different ways
I am starting with the yanks not getting my money, hence me asking IF i purchase through JJB instead of a cheap rip-off, are the yanks benefitting...otherwise cheap rip-off it will have to be.
I have no qualms with the hitting the American's in the pocket, but i won't be preached to by an SOS member (not you or PC Plod, this is just a general comment) or similar who still pays £700+ for a season ticket, then may have the gall to berate me for wearing a replica top that cos £40 and lasts a good couple of years.

Why not buy a scarf from an unofficial seller?Originally posted by Scratch View PostIf me buying a shirt from JJB stops money getting to the yanks, then i am achieving what is being asked.
Not looking for a complicated way at all...i am a Liverpool fan who can very rarely get a ticket to a game, so i want to show my support for the club through this hard time. If i can do this without the American's seeing my cash, then great.
I wear the shirt with pride, except now that shirt is torn, so i seek a replacement away shirt.

yeah i understand that. not sure there is an answer for me the obvious one is who cares what other people are doing and concentrate on what i am doing this does not stop people getting pissed off in the circumstances you have pointed out.Originally posted by Scratch View PostThat's a maybe tho, not a definite...depends what agreement Adidas and LFC came up with.

i understand that season ticket thing becuase the argument is if you give it back someone just picks it up and pays etc. with purchasing a shirt it is one less shirt sold. its not as if if you dont buy a shirt it means i can.
the key to this is organisation and bringing everyone together .
its not going to be easy but then nothing thats worth anything is easy.

I probably am actually Scratch.
It leaves a sour taste in the mouth, to be honest and it doesnt sit right with me to hand over £680.
Interesting that you choose not to answer my question and try to turn the focus back onto me, though. If i am willing to give up a season ticket, but you're not willing to go without a shirt, that says a lot really.

Scratch i get that the season ticket thing annoys you. It doesnt annoy me as I am not pro SOS as anyone can read so what they do is an irrelevance to me.
Also if 5 people on here give up their ST then 5 people will take their place so it has to publicised and co ordinated.
Not buying a shirt is different though.
I am not trying to preach just trying to say things as I see them.

What's to say if i don't buy a shirt from JJB, someone else won't buy it instead? JJB will only order a certain amount, not have a never ending supply.
Craig, i answered your question with a question, as it highlights my point...it's all well and good for you to hand over £680 that we all know for certain will go straight to the club, yet people would have an issue IF i bought a replica shirt, the money from which might not ever see the club coffers.

it does look like its people where right about the match boycott st boycott when we cant even get someone to consider not buying a shirt.
so I now hand this over to people who may be better at making it happen than I am.

That's what i was saying the other day mate. There'll always be a core of people happy to carry on lining the yanks pockets.Originally posted by Marsh View Postit does look like its people where right about the match boycott st boycott when we cant even get someone to consider not buying a shirt.

i dont think they are happy to line the pockets of the yanks. Its more they are unhappy at not supporting the team and club. The problem is the result is the same.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThat's what i was saying the other day mate. I still think it can be done but it needs someone with the right skills to do it. However no one seems to come forward to do it.

Once the details of the Europa Cup qualifiers emerge then perhaps a campaign to boycott the home match could be started? At the moment the new season seems so far away, but the Europa games will be here shortly after the World Cup.Originally posted by Marsh View Postit does look like its people where right about the match boycott st boycott when we cant even get someone to consider not buying a shirt.

the best we could hope to achieve is to have an empty stadium. not letting go of season tickets etc but having nobody turn up to a home game or 5 would hit home.
even better would be for everyone to line the streets outside of the stadium during the games too but as long as the stadium is empty/ away fans only then that'll do.
