Don't winge about the owners if you aren't prepared to do anything to make life harder for them financially. One fan alone is nothing but together we can make a real difference and hurt the owners. I honestly believe this is the most important battle in Liverpools modern history and one that no true fan can ignore. Email and text your friends and pass this initiative on to all fellow reds. Yanks out LFC forever! YNWA
Only 6 mate? i'm lucky to get to 2 or 3 a year and i'm from Norn Iron too

6 isn't too bad at all.

I am writing to let you know that I haven't been to Anfield since 2001, and I haven't purchased any kit from this website since 2006, when I purchased a full kit, an away shirt, had them both custom lettered and numbered and delivered express. I was prepared to do both again this year, which would have been a major investment as it would entail traveling from Chicago to get to the match. In fact, I was looking at coming when I could catch two matches over two or three weeks. But I have decided to postpone any visits to old blighty, as well as any purchases of official LFC material until our ownership situation has been resolved. I cannot stomach the thought that any of the funds generated by my love of this once mighty and venerated institution would finance the current owners' attempts to transform the club into a laughing stock. Sacking Benitez was only the last in a long, long line of poor, poor decisions undertaken by the leadership of the club since it was sold in 2007.

I hope you will pass this message on to anyone who will pay attention and who has this club's best interests at heart. I understand the webteam has nothing to do with this, but I'm certain somebody there knows somebody who does.

Looking forward to showing my support in the future, with love and with purchases,

      Garrett

i would prefer if sos were not involved in our ideas. they already have their own. if you want in, join them. this is should be our thing. we can coordinate with them maybe but i don't support them, and i'd like to participate.

SOS have a solid amount of members and are also the only group with any real media exposure, so not involving them is daft.

Their name carries more weight in the media at the moment, than any other anti G&H groups.

As for boycotts, midweek games are ideal as there'll be less people interested in the europa cup, as well as the fact that many OOT daytrippers will find it harder to attend midweek games, so it's less likely that tickets usually snapped up by regular matchgoers will all be taken by daytrippers instead.

You really think a few thousand fans not buying merchandise will make a difference? If you don't buy tickets theres always going to be someone else who buys them. The club is up for sale, a buyer is being sought why attempt to hurt H&G further at the expense of the club?
Of course it will make a difference. Your whole negative way of thinking won't though.

As a fellow Liverpool fan I suggest you try and do something constructive to help us out of this mess rather than criticise others for trying.

How about a website to pool together all the resources... then I'd work on some SEO and twitter and facebook... Im willing to do the site... (as in Design it for free...) would need some £1 paypals in order to pay the £80/£100 to sort the hosting and site URL name....

If someone wants an idea of the sort of thing I can do check out my endurance website -

Im currently cover the Le Mans 24 Hours and my site is www.endurancesportscar.net

Also have a twitter feed - www.twitter.com/endurance sport

Im willing to Design a logo, an identity to get this up and running - all FOC just need a hand paying the site fees....

Someone let me know... Send me a message on here if youre interested...

Would walk on broken glass on Bold St (if I still lived in Liverpool) to get rid of those yanks...

That looks good. we need some more people to help and someone to co ordinate it.

                    lets give it a go.

i understand the people saying it wont work as i have been saying the marches wont work.

Can we not try once? a real effort for one game. and it has to be televised i would think.

lets get a bit of momentum going.

Why try and start something from scratch when others are already doing the same kind of thing?
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

It's taken a lot of time and effort whether you agree with them or not for SOS and SaveLiverpoolFC to get to where they are at the moment, why not get on board with one of them.

I've took the following from the SaveLiverpoolFC campaign over on RAWK

                            -----

The campaign is now live and we've started this fresh thread to draw a line under the development work down on the original thread, which you can browse at your leisure here.

                            We are in control
First point - we are an autonomous campaign. What that means is that we don't depend on anyone else to make decisions on what action we're going to take, or what content we're going to use. If we keep the already excellent supply of ideas up, we'll have no shortage of raw material to work with.

We have clear goals in place
                            1. We will educate Liverpool supporters about the facts on the club's ownership and finances.

                            2. We will show fans the benefits of a unified voice, and how they can get involved to express their disapproval in a unified way.

The next sections describe these goals in more detail.

                            1. Educating Liverpool fans
The starting point for the campaign was "Getting angry at the right people". But to help people reach that realisation, we're not going to need to incite anger or do anything illegal, controversial, or unethical.

All we need to do is tell Liverpool fans the facts in ways that are simple enough for them to understand.

These are complicated subjects - corporate finance, balance sheet structure, stadium funding, and so forth - they all come into play.
We will make the complex information easy for people to understand. The anger will then take care of itself.

                            2. Showing fans ways to get involved and unify
There are two 'speeds' to this.

                            a. We'll provide measurable ways to unify under this campaign banner. We've already set up a Facebook group for the purpose, and Flake is working to try and set up a unified 'cross-forum' home for the campaign too. We'll keep working on this. The main thing will be for us to offer ways for people to unify under the one campaign banner.

                            b. We'll make it clear how to join SOS, we'll highlight the fact that many of us are members, and that for the purposes of this campaign, we'll be working closely with them. We don't mind if people get behind the campaign, or get behind the union. What's important in the end is that people come together to express their disapproval.

                            We are working with SOS
It's a fact that SOS have a high media profile and an extensive reach and audience. We have broadly the same goals as the union. So when our ideas have the potential to make a big impact (as has already been the case), we can help them make a bigger impact in their own campaigns and strategy, as long as they agree. For that reason, we'll be talking with SOS on a regular basis, not least to make sure we're working together rather than hindering each other.

                            Some ground rules on content.
                            - Don't use SOS logos and text
                            - For unchecked facts, don't associate them to SOS
                            - Get a sanity check for 'facts' used.

A quick browse through the old thread will show you that this has worked well so far.

We do not endorse anything illegal, or excessively controversial, or potentially counter-productive to our own goals and those of SOS
While we're all learning as we go, and it's inevitable we'll make mistakes and need to encourage each other, we need to make sure we don't go off on our own and do anything daft.

To that end, if you feel like taking action, pm people, or post on the thread, and ask for comments and feedback on your ideas. That should keep us right.

If you go off and do something daft without checking, just remember it's your arse that might be in the bacon slicer.

                            Radio Silence
When it comes to more precise plans, let's try and keep it to pms and other private methods of communicating with each other. That way we'll be more sure that things won't be sidetracked or sabotaged (why that would happen I don't know, but you can never be sure).

                            VAMOS Y VIVA LA REVOLUCION!
Let's enjoy the process and (note to self) not get downhearted if things slow down a little. This is for the long-term, and we'll keep learning as we go.

We'll pause for reflection and review on a regular basis. The 4th of July is as good a date as any, so let's use that. Synchronise watches!
The original thread for ideas was 38 pages long so as you can see a lot of effort has gone into this and it's only been going since the 4th May

They have got a website currently being made and already have 13,500+ on facebook and 1500+ on twitter

We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Agree with this, it really needs to be coordinated, done as one big campaign...ALL Reds together, not splintered.

Over the moon to see more evidence of people getting involved though.

It does need to be one big campaign with everyone involved rather than lots of splintered groups. However it can be a campaign with different groups involved.

Is there already a boycott Liverpool campaign? if there is do we need to make contact and give our support.

                                Chuck ideas this way people.
