Why would Kenny getting the job affect whether or not a game should be boycotted? Kenny being manager wouldnt change the ownership.Originally posted by merlboo View Postif i can respond ...
we're trying to promote a boycott of the auto cup scheme and the impact that this might have on the clubs finances first
the next stage may be a game boycotted but like i said in my initial reply
a lot will depend on whether Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish gets the job ... the mood will probably change quite drastically initially and a match boycott again may be tough to implement (again see the reasons why in my first post)
and finally you mentioned 'my love of marches' ... believe me ,love is a very loose term there
i have always done it out of necessity and duty... love wouldn't be a word i'd associate with demonstrating

I never said that it should, but I think the Europa qualifier would be the ideal game to boycott. If Dalglish takes over then I don't suppose it matters, it would be better to take action sooner than later though.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostDoesnt have to be the FIRST home game though.

Good for you. It has to start somewhere and a televised European qualifier at Anfield would be worth boycotting.Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostI'm going to boycott the first qualifying match of the Euro Disney League against Young Boys Berne at the Wankdorf Stadium. It's pretty insulting to fellow fans IMO.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I'm not sure it is. Lower revenues will weaken the team or increase the debt, or both. There's only a point if you think it will actually make a positive difference to the Americans selling and I don't really believe it will. It's likely to lower the future revenue projections, widening the gap between Hick's valuation and a buyer's valuation making the club harder to sell. IAFN, but I don't think people's understandable desire to just do something, which I think is driving this, is going to be positive in terms out outcomes.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostErm...missing the point, slightly?

Not a good idea in my opinion. Think of a 'peaceful' way to protest without hurting the club. Because thats all you would be doing. Dont for one minute think that it would change anything in regards to the ownership.
The club is up for sale and the banks will pressure H&G soon enough without us adding to the clubs problems.
The most you would get is a few hundred boycotting it anyway. The only way it would have any effect is if almost all fans boycotted everything until the owners quit or the bank forecloses, and thats not going to happen.

I think that people need to understand that the club's onfield affairs will continue to suffer collateral damage as part of the current owners' business plan. As such, we are left with the choice of a slow & painful disassembling of the team & its fortunes over the next couple of seasons or possibly influencing it towards administration and/or sale- which will hopefully give the chance for new owners to come in at a reasonable price & to start rebuilding.
