And what has Pellegrini won? He couldn't win La Liga after spending 200m! And Capello really has shown himself up to be a tactical genius hasn't he. I think you'll find that it's not as bad an appointment as people are making out. There are bugger all other decent managers available. Hilarious that people wanted Mourinho or Hiddink when they had just got new jobs themselves.

supporting the team is so different to supporting the manager or owners, look at Souness idolised as a player vilified as a manager.. One can make the differential thats all I am saying.
The owners have lubed us up and are spitroasting us. Not accepting a mediocre manager is saying no to that...

The owners don't even go to the games. By all means boycott merchandise and march, but support the manager and the team. And at least give Hodgson a chance. If Kenny leaves then we know something is wrong but if Kenny is ok with Roy, then so am I.Originally posted by Frenchie View PostThere is right and wrong in this world and if we were owned by Bin Laden or some other despot would the same apply?
Because the 'wrong' in this scenario is the bleeding dry of the club by dealmakers then thats ok huh?
where do you draw the line or dont you care?

How does one show support for the team but not the manager though? At a game for example surely it is more or less indistinguishable and certainly attacks on either undermine both.Originally posted by Frenchie View Postsupporting the team is so different to supporting the manager or owners, look at Souness idolised as a player vilified as a manager.. Or by not accepting a mediocre manager do you confine that to whinging on the internet? If so how does this in any way impact upon our owners?"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Hodgson has had years and years manging in europe to win something though.Originally posted by vonk View PostAnd what has Pellegrini won? He couldn't win La Liga after spending 200m! Pellegrini, think he's won a couple of titles. Capello, well, people seem to put a lot of sway in one season, apparently it makes Capello a bad coach, Rafa got the sack, and Bobby Zamora is liverpool quality.....not to mention Roy, all off the back of one good or one bad season, i really despair at what's happening to this club.Last edited by Vermilion; 30-06-10, 05:22 PM.

By not giving him a chance its standing up to the **** owners. He shouldnt even be on the list..Originally posted by vonk View PostThe owners don't even go to the games. Its hard but by vocally not accepting Woy not chanting his name sends a message to the owners that mediocrity is not acceptabe..Originally posted by dww View PostHow does one show support for the team but not the manager though? The only way to hurt the owners is to boycott matches, merchandise, etc but that will never happen..many threads on that..
Paper airplanes may be fun but would have just an amuzing impact.

I'm pretty sure Pellegrini didn't spend that money/buy those players. And, with those players he didn't choose, he guided them to 97 points, the highest total in their history. His CV is miles better than Roy's.Originally posted by vonk View PostAnd what has Pellegrini won? He couldn't win La Liga after spending 200m!
Having said that, I've just had my first smoke of the day
and I've mellowed towards it all a bit.
It'll be interesting to see how Roy lines us up, having gotten used to Rafa's ways and his preferred personnel etc.
Not taking into account players he may buy and sell...how do people think he'll set us up - formation and player-wise? Obviously it's all speculation but still. Interesting.

If you thought Rafa was defensive.......
No plan B in the Capello mould of 4-4-2
3 away wins all season.............
Mediocre is the word youre looking for..
Where can I get some puff.....................

Can't agree with that at all, while we were ill positioned in midfield at times we still controlled a lot of games, with out having the need finish or final ball.Originally posted by Operation View PostNot last season. We were playing hoofball even with Torres on the pitch, he was chasing lost causes and jumping for headers against 2 CBs. Wasn't even counter attacking. We had a huge gap in the middle of the pitch and tried for force it to the strikers. Not the Liverpool way at all.
Torres was injured last season because he was kicked rather cynically by defenders a lot.
