Nah, i dont mean they've actually gone away.

I just meant that they're 'off work' at the moment and i wouldnt be surprised if Hodgson tried to call a meeting and got "nah, we're on our holidays" as a response.

Well Rooney booked a holiday via his agent two days BEFORE we played Germany and flys off today. Capello has flown back out to switzerland. I think its safe to say it does happen.

Lets be fair, this is a safe signing. Our target is now the top 7, an old experienced manager like Roy should achieve that. Our football will be safe and uninspiring, our signings will be average/good consistent players, no stars, and most of all, Roy won't challenge the owners.

Personally, if none of the top managers want the job, I'd welcome one of the new generation of managers here and give it a shot, your Deschamps, Rikaard or Bilic. They'd add something fresh and get us playing some exciting footy.

I partly agree with you about but the signings and so forth but no one really knows how we'll play. For all we know we could end up playing some really decent attractive football.

The spine of our team (if it stays) is much stronger than that of Fulhams, no disrespect to Fulham here.

As well as that there are other factors to be taken into consideration. First of all we are not Fulham, we're Liverpool football club. Even amidst all the turmoil we are still a massive draw to players I don't give a **** what anyone says. Yes we're not in the CL but we could be back there and I'm confident we will do.

This club is still absoloutly massive and it always will be and that it is more important than anything. We as fans will help galvanise the team I'm sure of that. I am also confident that we will be sold soon and then the **** that's going on in the background will be sorted.

Hodgson needs time to evaluate the squad and do what he needs to do. I'm sure he will have us playing some decent stuff.

He is not Rafa, he never will be but he's his own man. He's also a decent man who is popular and has a lot of respect within the game so we as fans should show some faith in him and let him get on with his job.
