Spaniard hails gr-eight win
Rodolfo Borrell hailed the character of his youngsters after they came from behind to stretch their winning streak to eight matches with a 2-1 success at Crewe on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds fell behind to a third minute penalty but dug deep to take the spoils courtesy of a Toni Silva header and a second half winner from the in-form Adam Morgan.
Borrell was delighted to see his young charges earn three hard-fought points and feels they can go far this season if they maintain the same attitude week in, week out.
He told Liverpoolfc.tv: "We bounced back well and in the end we just about deserved our victory.
"It was a blow to concede a third minute penalty and for a while it looked like Crewe might get a second.
"But we we produced a massive effort and a superb team performance to take all three points.
"They were a very difficult opponent and we did well to overcome the tough conditions.
"There is a great determination and humility amongst this group of lads and they showed their character once again today. We must keep going and try to achieve as much as we can between now and the end of the season."
Liverpool U18s: Stephens, Rafferty, Sama, McGiveron, Smith, Sterling, Coady, Cooper, Silva, Adorjan, Morgan. Unused subs: Walsh, Mukendi, Sokolik, Kohlert, Wearing.
