Liverpool v Rabotnicki (2nd leg) build up

It may seem early but it's quiet (with the exception of take over talk)

I will be interested to see who starts this one as the big names need the run and we don't really need to do anything other than a draw really.

It will be interesting to see who plays for the reserves tonight as they surely won't play again on Thursday.

    Possible starting X1

    Pepe
    Kelly
    Soto
    Skittles
    Agger
    Lucas
    Amoo
    Stevie
    Cole
    Jova
    Ngog
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

You would think that (Torres and Kuyt aside, but Ngog is reasonably similar in terms of how he has been used tactically to the former IMO) this would be a good game to be trying to work out how our attack will line up. The key decision for me will be how we set up in the centre.

Lot's of options for a central triangle (with the two either or ahead or behind the lone player). I guess the sharpness of Gerrard etc. will play a part in decisions but would expect us to be looking to get the same shape in this game that we will play at home at least for the rest of the season.

I think we will see or i'd like to see...

        ------------------cavalieri--------

        kelly-----carragher-------agger---------aurelio

        kuyt-------gerrard---------shelvey-------Ryan "tweet tweet babel

        --------------------Cole------------------

        --------------------Ngog------------------

With a look to swap say, Agger/Kuyt/Gerrard for Wilson/Amoo/Lucas, once we have scored one or two and it's game over

There is no real reason why we can’t go on and win this by five or six, giving the team a real boost before the season starts. Would really like N’Gog to get a few more.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Why no jovanovic? Stuff babel for now. We need Jova to build up an understanding asap IMO

Surely one player who definitely will start is Lucas?

There is no way that Pepe, Torres, Kuyt or Babel will play. I think Gerrard, Cole and Carragher will all be on the bench.

Im fairly certain that the team will be completely unchanged from the one that won 2-0 in the first leg

is this europa qualifier our last "friendly" before start of season?

if so, then it would make sense to include as many first teamers as possible - ste, pepe, kyut, agger, johnson, cole, aqua, - to get some fitness up. with the internationals next week i'd like to see a bit of game time for these players.

if we have other games to play ( behind closed doors etc ) then i'd prob use a mixture of young and old.

                      pepe

                      johnson
                      agger
                      wilson
                      aurelio

                      ste
                      lucas
                      amoo
                      jova

                      cole
                      ngog
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

                        Totally agree

Lucas in behind Stevie and Cole in the middle with jova and either kuyt or amok out wide and the new torres up front

LOL. Pepe, Kuyt, Babel and Torres only started back at light training yesterday. Thats strengthening and conditioning. How do any of you expect them to play on thursday? Are you nuts?

                          Same team from first leg

I agree, maybe a couple of "heavyweights" sitting on the bench this time around, just in case things start going titis up
