Considering the Kuyt's only ever really looked comfortable in that formation, and likewise for Lucas, who's only looked useful when he's had a strong DM holding alongside him, i'd argue it would have.

Ditto Skrtel, who might've been more comfortable defending with 2 holding mids in front of him.

mate in all due respect, when Kuyt is playing like tonight he looks awful in whatever formation he plays. Would 451 have made him stay on his feet? Well? Come on Craig for ****s sake, would Dirk Kuyt have stayed upright in a 451? Come now don't be shy.

As for Skrtel he is always an accident waiting to happen. If he needs two players to baby sit him he can **** off.

we're going to lose games this season, wow big shocker. only 18 to go to equal rafas haul eh.

Our season isn't about tonight ffs. I honestly can't believe the **** written in here. We were bad but we created a few decent chances and but for Hart would have scored and then who knows. Kuyt, Lucas & Skrtel were awful. 4-5-1 wouldn't have changed that.

Torres has got more match fitness and Roy will realise Lucas isn't very good. We'll improve, just have some faith.

It wasn't the best of performances but they will get better over the coming weeks.

It's good Torres has played a few games with no sign of any injuries being picked up. I'd be tempted to rest him for Thursday's game and unleash him against West Brom.

Carra had a good game, bit worried about Reina at the moment. He needs to sort himself out and sharpish.

It was just a bad night although the performance was a bit worrying but I'm confident that will get better.

I dont see why it is mate. As far as i see, it's true. He's a longtime Chelsea ST holder and fan. And as for the 2nd point - well he came out and publicly told the world that the yanks have no power at the club anymore - if he wasnt their man and telling the world things which make it SEEM like the yanks are trying to sell, why would their pathetic egos allow him to say that stuff?

You have to pick the system according to which players you have, who you're playing and the circumstances of the game.
