Why not, they've nigh on bought every other player available. I think with those two that takes them up to 3 full quality teams. They're planning on playing one in La Liga and Serie A and then world domination ha ha ha ha (in an evil kind of laugh with little finger at side of mouth)Originally posted by Buzzo View Post
Signing for City?

Definitely said it. They said something along the lines of 'oh Torres is there, didn't see first time around'Originally posted by Baracus View PostDid not hear that afterwards...Maybe Gerrard was cleaning up the man loving mess
As for Gerrard, perhaps he was kicking **** out of Mascha for being pathetic and a ****.

Yeah mate agree with all that...we were always ****ed the moment Roy named that team and i know we can't blame Roy for the players producing such a dreadful performance but that team did us no favours.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI was texted the team on the way to the ground - confirmed as the one we'd seen on the net earlier - and we all said we'd get cut apart. 4-4-2? Ngog and Torres? They've never started a game together before. A totally bizarre and inexplicable choice. If three amateurs could see that beforehand...
I understand Gray was on Sky beforehand saying "I love that team, love it, Rafa would never have picked two up front for a game like this"
No, he wouldn't have Gray. Maybe now you know why. Dick head.
We were totally outnumbered in the middle and outmuscled. I was amazed at how big and powerful they are. Yaya Toure is possibly the biggest footballer I've ever seen, he's built like a heavyweight boxer. ****ing MASSIVE. They had a spare man in the middle all the time, and it was totally obvious that'd be the case. Gerrard and Lucas v their midfield three? Terrible. Sort it out Roy.
Jovanovic was totally appalling tonight, Johnson equally ****e. Lucas struggled like **** finding space but it wasn't hard to figure out.
I kept looking to the bench for inspiration. Roy just sat there and the subs sat there too. Strange.
With City having an extra man in midfield, they could play in and around us, get it out wide and move us around the pitch. They did that well.
Thought big Toure looked the part tbh, surprised at how good he was on the ball, barely wasted a pass all night, looked a little unfit but he's going to be a big player for City this season.
Few people were saying Mancini put out a defensive team, maybe he did but it worked a treat.
They can mix it up if needs must and i can see them putting together a title challenge this season.

Just read the match thread and saw a few posters talking about the Rafa chant tonight.
It was the City fans. I can't quite figure out the point of them singing it, but sing it they did, followed by 'USA USA!'. God help us if they actually win something, they are intolerably cocky cunts. Naturally loads of them were waving notes.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm hoping these early games are being used by Roy to finally assess his team/squad strength. Needless to say he can see the absolute attack-mindedmess Rafa's left behind.
Kuyt and Lucas always have been and alway will remain average. They might have their attributes but not for a top 8 team for sure. Hopefully these two will be the first on Roy's blacklist. I'm glad they are already firmly marking themselves as permanent members of that list with their performances. Roll on Poulson and Joe Cole.
Next game to see if Jovanovic really wants to be part of the first team or not. If only Babel could play there and not be such a headless chicken.
One tit for another.

I forgive them for all of the above if they ensure manure get nowhere near the title until Ferguson's eventual expirement (retirement obviously not being in his vocabulary). Also can't bear Chelsea winning anything more and I want Arsenal to remain underachievers (don't know why).Originally posted by Shaggy View PostJust read the match thread and saw a few posters talking about the Rafa chant tonight.

What did you make of De-Jong, Barry and Toure in midfeld man?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostSending Aquilani away on loan looks even more ludicrous now, if that's possible. Mind you he would've been eaten alive by that set of giants. They have immense size and power all over the park, they bullied the hell out of us.
They look to have a good understanding.

It was very noticeable how much bigger and stronger than they were than us tonight. And our team, on paper, looked like one of the most physical sides we've put out for years. Jovanovic is a big strapping ****er and has looked strong before but he bounced of all of their lads all night. Richards ate him alive. Yaya, Kompany, Richards, Kolo, even De Jong, Lescott and Barry...all big strong ****ers. Physically it felt like men against boys.Originally posted by Rudo View PostWhat did you make of De-Jong, Barry and Toure in midfeld man?

Bizarrely their set up at times looked like this:
----De Jong----Barry------
-----------Yaya-------
Johnson----Tevez-------Milner
Yaya was the closest to Tevez at times. But to answer your question, yeah, they were impressive. I think some have been too hasty in ridiculing them - they're a good side. They won't win the league but 2nd or 3rd isn't beyond them IMO.
Or maybe we were just so **** we made them look better than they are. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Aye Yaya played in an advanced role but he was impressive tonight...looked a quality player and will only get better as he gets match fitness and fully adapted to the English game.
With City they can play 3 or 4 different formations and they'll still have a very strong team. Silva, Adebayour, Balotelli will all be pushing for starting places.
