And it's the Fulham players who are criticising him too by the way.
i think you miss the point. how can you say he was a turd manager for Fulham given that he took them over when they were headed for relegation, and then massively over performed with them.

For that matter, how can the Fulham players? If it wasn't for Hodgson they'd have been playing in the Championship not a Europa League final.

He did with a small club what Rafa did with a big one (7th), so how does that make him a turd Fulham manager?

And no, I wouldn't consider Sam Allardyce good enough for Liverpool, but if his Bolton players said he'd been a crap Bolton manager I'd laugh in their faces.

It'd be nice if he was criticised for what is deserving of criticism. It's not like everyone needs to look too hard for stuff to be uneasy about without doing a full scale assassination.

I agree but that's not the question. He's here now. And how can he be pronounced a failure after 5 league games.

And how can he be called a turd Fulham manager? It's getting a bit crazy in here now if he can be regarded as someone who was crap manager for Fulham.

Eitherway things havent improved we look rudderless on the pitch its not as if things like shape, organisation, tactics have improved

Its not as if the pressing of the opposition has improved

Its not as if the tactics have changed

I dont care how unreasonable I sound to you hes not good enough

So far its been completely negative, ****ing ****e football completely devoid of passion & tactical nous

I'm by no means reactionary normally, I was not one who was diving on the Rafa bandwagon last season after the same number of games

If I see something out there that points to a reasoning for it I can understand

I cant for the life of me understand anything hes trying to do, its completely at odds and often conflicting

Look at Benitez he was considered a negative manager but at least he had them organised and pressing for the ball. He might have been a total control freak with his obsession for controlling the game but at least thats ****ing something

I dont see how you can as a Liverpool side look to surrender over possession, defend for your life on the 18 yard box and even then not press your opposition when they get near. Then instruct your defenders to get rid asap to a man who is not and never will be a target man

Sorry it just doesnt make sense

        Couldn't agree more

Its not 5 League game its 6

I have never resorted to name calling the only thing I have said was that his CV was not good enough for Liverpool and this is being clearly borne out so far with the results and performances

I've watched Liverpool since 76 and have had a season ticket from 77 through till 2006/2007

This is one of the worst sides I've seen and by far the worst performances and style of play I've seen

          Its horrendous

My father inlaw sat through us getting relegated in the 50's and even hes said the football is not far off as bad as that

To me it has none of the qualities needed

Normally a team has one or more of the following

          Hardworking
          Passionate / Committed
          Organised / Resilient
          Disciplined
          Attacking / flair

I dont see any of those qualities

          It really is frightening

I have nothing personal against Roy, he's a good manager in other circumstances but there is massive pressure here to finish top four, if we miss out on the CL two years running it will be it for us a top four team IMO - in the near future anyway.

Players will leave, our tiny budget will decrease, our suppport will wane and it will be hard to replace players such as Carra and Gerrard.

This season is crucial IMO, failure to get fourth is a massive blow. This is not some drama but facts, we have United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Spurs who are in a better position that us. In five years, how many of the current squad do you think will be first teamers in a top club? Poulsen, Konchesky, Carra, Kyrgiakos, Gerrard, Kuyt, Maxi, Cole are all players who will be 34+ then and we still need to add to their replacements. The squad is aging and deteriorating and we will have no money to improve it.
            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

According to Kenny himself he helped to set up a list of candidates but it was the board that interviewed the candidates and made the decision.

He said that in an interview on Five live a couple of months ago.

When you set up the team at Anfield to play ultra defensive football against a rubbish team in the third division then you know that he isn't the right manager for the club.

Our youth team would probably won against Northampton FFS.

hardly a turd manager for fulham to be fair.

this is what i mean about people just putting the boot in.

i'm not even a roy hodgson fan, but just being a fan of fair criticism is making me look like one at the mo.
A simliar record to Steve McLaren at Middlesboro and no-one talked him up as a potential Liverpool manager.
Infact Schteve McLaren went on to be a success in Holland making his CV better the Roy's.

Watching Villa the other night - I would have prefered Houllier back than Hodgson and thats saying something.

Nor am I though. I'm just arguing against the idea that Roy Hodgson was a turd Fulham manager. He wasn't.

rafa plays 2 holding midfileders and has no attacking intentions against small teams . . . . .yet a lot of people want him back.

the carling cup game was a reserve game to get fringe players game time - nothing more.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

We wont be finishing top 4 this season

With the best will in the world you are delusional to even think that

I have heard few people argue that we are playing well (you and Roy it appears)

We are WORSE than when Rafa was in charge

Results are telling you that its the worst start for over 28 years

If we dont win on Saturday its the worse start in 50 odd years (since we were relegated)
we will - i have faith in my team and my players. we will finish top 4 i garauntee it.

People want him back because he's a better manager, not because they think he's perfect.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                                but why????

he proved he couldnt cut it with us - he tried and failed to win us the league and 2 years ago with **** tactics and negative subs he threw the league away.

he proved he wasnt up to it so why have him back?

for all we know roy could win us the league.
