          Gormley.

His dad, Joe, was pretty cool too.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

And lo it came to pass...
It was a tough call to find someone who would have an effective model for doing well at the top end of the PL. we'll never know whether another option could have been fruitful, say a gamble like Bilic, or even Deschamps or whoever. We went for a supposedly safe bet, someone who they thought would guarantee moderate success. Wrong.
With rafa gone, I was all favour of a gamble on a young manager (such as my man crush, Bilic)

So, calls for sacking him are increasing. A whopping 70% of the 150 or so posters who've participated to this poll want him sacked. Was there a similar poll at the tail end of last year, at the height of Benitez's unpopularity amongst Liverpool fans? What were the figures?
              Are we winning?

I agree with that. Appointing Hodgson was the third mistake and was made by Purslow. But we should never have got into that mess in the first place.

The second mistake was also made by Purslow when he sacked Benitez.

And, to put it bluntly, the first mistake was made by those who wanted him to go.

Purslow stated only last week, that 'everyone saw' that Rafa had to be replaced last season. I'm not sure if they're his exact words, but I'm pretty sure it was what he intended to communicate.

I've said it before, Hodgson is the Liverpool equivalent of Big Sam to Newcastle. I don't think we'd ever be as vociferous as Newcastle fans were to him, but there has never been such an unpopular appointment in the history of Liverpool.

Spot on regarding the comparison with Big Sam

I however disagree with the comment about the fans being as vociferous as Newcastle

We have taken a huge amount of **** and I think many are at the end of their tether

It wont take much to break that leash

We're more eloquent and knowledgeable than Newcastle fans, who are barbaric, seething, hateful heathens, who hate everybody and everything.

I sat in a pub and watched a fella spitting on a newspaper picture of Michael Owen after he had scored a hat trick against the "Toon" (this was weeks after - not on the same day) - I'll bet he was there cheering outside St James when L'il Mickey was paraded around like he was the European Cup, every ****er else was.

While I detest Allardyce, I'll always remember that shot of him, after not many games, on the touchline at St James while they were losing again, and some snarling Geordie behind him in the stand clearly shouting "You don't know what you're ****ing doing". I always felt it was totally out of order and a really ****ty thing for a supporter to do...and while I don't really want Roy here I would hate, HATE to see our fans turn on him in the ground like that.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
