If you want to reach the top with Rafa then you must be prepared to work your socks off in training and in matches every day of the week.

He demands 100% from his players all the time. Some players cope with that and get much better. Some players don't and start to moan instead.

Probably the manager that demands most from his players out there. That is both positive and negative at the same time. Some players get much better and some players end up getting nowhere.

If you want to reach the top and is prepared to give 100% then there is no better manager than Rafa out there.

Arn, get real mate. Inter sold ibra because they got a crazily good deal. Spurs sold Berba because they got a great offer and when a bigger club comes calling the player tends to leave. Raul stayed for years and won everything going. He left when he was well past his sell by date. Ronaldinho was a party animal and lost the fight to be a great player, messi filled his shoes.

Beckham was never star man for man utd and the media circus that followed him was a detriment.

Gerrard on the other hand is virtually never in the limelight and nor is he past it. He is still one of our top players and we have no great reason or need to sell. The only reason he should go is if someone came in with an Ibra like offer and he wanted to leave.

A three year deal instead of maybe a one year is a very good reason to get rid of the manager.

Carra already showed a few times that he thinks about himself first and the club second, like when he refused to play right back and Skrtel ended up playing there.

Gerrard showed last season once and for all that he thinks about himself first when he sulked almost the whole season.

It's very weird to hear that players like them would never let the club down because they already done that.

Someone should have kicked Gerrard's ass last season more than one time the way he acted on the pitch. That was totally unacceptable. He acted like a big ego the whole season. He showed that he didn't care about the club as much as he want us to believe.

He is one of our best ever players but he will never reach the legendary status of Kenny because of his **** attitude.

That would be the game we lost away to Middlesbourgh that arguably cost us the league title???

BTW not commenting on Carra's attitude, think it's hard for anyone to question his committment and attitude towards us.

For what it's worth, I think Rafa would have had the support of the fans if he decided to let go of SG or Carra - that isn't a position very many other managers would have had. And it most certainly ain't a position that Roy Hodgson is in. And I hate that quote from Carra about getting back to English basics or whatever the **** he said. Although equally it's possible to accuse Rafa or being a bit Machiavellian by invoking Shankly's name to repudiate what Carra said. In fact in all honesty, that interview is quite self-serving from Rafa and written by a man who has a serious football-boner for him. Sack Hodgson.

Gerrard and Carra isn't the future of the club. In many ways a player like Shelvey is more important to keep than Gerrard because he is IMO the future of the club together with a few of our other youngsters.
