I think people have accepted Roy is very unlikely to get the sack pre West Ham so instead people have turned their attention towards that. TBH I think this thread is going to be the biggest LFC related thread on here ever and by some distance.Originally posted by banditos View PostWhy is this thread full of semantic bull**** rather than internet rumours that may or may not suggest that Roy is going to get the scak very soon? Back on topic please mofos.
Everytime we perform badly or don't get the result we want people will be straight on this thread complaining. Rightly so mind, as this will be quite often. And I just can't see him getting the bullet anytime soon, regardless of any kind of results. Even if we lost 3-0 to West Ham Roys job would still be safe as houses IMO.Forwards.......

nah to be honest, i reckon that the long term plan of Comoli / NESV will be to get a youngish manager who could work in the new system and build up a legacy - they would basically like a Wenger but with years ahead of him - like when Arsenal got him in the mid-90's........pity Blanc is now gone to France as i think he would have fitted the mould perfectly - maybe Deschamps could as well but i'm not so sure....
the point i am trying to make is that Roy is probably seen as a steady pair of hands until their long term guy arrives.......if roy suddenly becomes regarded as dodgy, then they won't hesitate in my view.......Commoli could see Kenny as the same type of safe interim manager (DC talked highly of KD in his recent interview)......
i think if things are going bad against West Ham, and Roy pulls his stupid face again (you know......the one where he looks like a woman in a wedding dress that has just done a wet fart) and we don't win the game..........then it could be curtains........

This cannot be for real - surely?!!Originally posted by Shaggy View PostAnyone got their Christmas edition LFC merchandise catalogue in the post?
On page 1 there's a lovely picture of Roy in a stripy shirt and blazer, with his normally unruly hair immaculately swept back. There's also a message from Roy.Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Ha ha, to be fair Craig they do have a point. I remember having exhausting arguments with you over Kuyt a few years ago as you just wouldn’t accept that he was a decent player. You then u-turned on Kuyt and moved on to Lucas. We had the exact same arguments about Lucas as we did Kuyt and despite it being pointed out that Lucas will also improve (much like Kuyt’s form did) you would not back down from your argument that he was **** and always would be. I also remember a few debates about Rafa having to go when we were actually top of the league.Originally posted by Marsh View Post
Now to the more specific question, i wouldnt mind if you had changed your opinion but it was the fact that people disagreeing with you at the time were talking **** and bollocks etc. Now that it seems to me and more than one other that you have had a complete reverse of opinion it still quite aggressive. if it wasnt an aggressive stance when you wanted rafa to go then maybe it wouldnt have stuck in my mind.
Maybe if you toned down the tone (should have thought that through better) then maybe people wouldnt care if your views appeared to change.
In fairness though, I tend to agree with a lot of the things you’ve said since and you do make some good points. I just don’t think it’s necessary to labour every point though and relentlessly argue with everyone who thinks differently, especially if there is a chance you might change your mind somewhere down the line. I’m not even sure if you still do that TBH, but I’m guessing that some people think you do.
I actually think you enjoy arguing so much that you’ve recently opened a second account so you can argue with yourself. I’ll not name any names but there are far too many similarities between you and this character for it to be a coincidence.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
