I'm very hapy with the win last night, and not least captain fantastic's jump in to save the day. We played very poorly in the first half and got better in the second.

On the bright side we only let in a goal which was caused by two poor headers (poulsen wtf??) and a sleeping defensive line after that.

We got a win in a match when we didn't play well, we have 3 in a row know so the confidence will be building. Young players are getting a few games now in a decent compitition and it's nice to see them progressing at a decent rate. N'gog is really starting to prove himself and his ability, I have high hopes for the lad.

For me it's very good to finally get a good feeling out of watching Liverpool again, and I have choosen to focus on the results on the pitch and not so much on the petty attacks on some players and the manager, give and take (the well founded criticism is fine though).

To me it seems like we are finally starting to progres as a team, and we really just need to start playing our way out of the initial pressure from an oposition and it will look half decent - not great, but half decent.

Thats nothing to do with what hes inherited that is his contribution

Hes made terrible signings (Meireles excluded) and we are reaping the "benefits" of having a manager whose tactics are archaic, base and the most negative I've ever seen from a Liverpool manager

My big worry about giving Roy time is the damage that he will cuase for future managers

Part of that has now been mitigated with the arrival of Comolli at least Roy is not in charge of the purse strings otherwise I'd be ****ting myself going into January

But frankly I still dont want him at the club, the last thing we need is these tactics being ingrained in the very fabric of the club because that would be catastrophic
maybe the past tense is the key here? had a rough start having to get the spirit back to the team, no finances and the ownership situation, that lasted the first 4 months of his tenure. Perhaps now that it is settling and we are starting to get results it will change? The impatient fans (and myself included here) have far from helped him settle and get the calm to work in.

Let's hope it stays in past tense, and I'm fairly confident it does. I just hope you and other fans can find the joy of watching football again, because being miserable after a win would to me at least be the step towards not watching football at all.

No sorry the tactics are still the same

The football is in generally ****ing lame (same last night until Gerrard rescued things)

Dont get me wrong I like winning and am happy for the club to be doing that but I am not convinced that the 3 wins are in anyway showing that Hodgson is the man to take us forward

Tactically I think we are still shocking and against better sides I think we will be wide open for exploitation

The most laughable thing yesterday was the way Roy behaved. Suddenly he starts to give orders and jump around only because our owner is there.

That was really laughable. He looked like an idiot because we all know why he did it.

The win had nothing to do with Bodgson, everything to do with Gerrard.

I'm not really advocating us as a team that plays well, but we are still improving slightly from game to game, and it has only come now that the ownership situation has settled and I am still fairly confident that the bottom 3 will stay in past tense.

I am not enjoying our way of playing right now but I am enjoying us getting results again and looking at a team that are finally starting to look like a unit with a good spirit again, something not seen in almost a year now.

The initial working conditions as mentioned have not been easy for Hodgson with the spirit having to get back to the team, no finances and the ownership situation that lasted the first 4 months of his tenure. And he have far from made it any easier on himself with some of his comments, and a lot being taken out of context and picked on by fans not able to see past the fact that it was Hodgson.

He is def. not the man for the long term, but for now I think we need a bit of a steady ride and I am starting to think Hodgson can give us that untill the end of the season. And I'm for one am not going to let that fact take away my joy from a win from the team I support above all else, and the joy of watching the game of football.
