Its odd that not only are they all wearing the exact same thing, black jacket and jeans, but that there is very little Napoli merchandise being worn...Originally posted by Shaggy View Post96 Never Forgotten

I've not read much of this thread, I was out watching the game last night.
Gerrard
saves us again, hopefully the hat trick will give him a confidence boost, and he can get back to his best.
Poulsen is awful, I don't know how many times I've said that but it coninues to be true, the game just completely passes him by I never want to see him in a Liverpool shirt again.
3 wins on the bounce now is decent, but I can't help but think that Roys tactics are stifling the team starting with 4 central midfielders and having no real options out wide on the bench
On that note why does Roy insist on messin Meireles about, he's obviously a central midfielder and IMO could be a good one for us if Roy would shop shifting him all over the place
It was good to see Shelvey and Spearing both getting games (& Eccleston from the bench) I thought all were decent, Spearing I felt did much better second half once Poulsen had gone off.
Jovanovic I'm still not impressed with, I don't think he's a winger but I don't see any other role for him, I remain underwhelmed by him.
I thought Lucas did well for the few mins he was on for and Johnson I thought had a decent game. Btw where were the likes of Babel and Pacheco? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Says someone who attacked our players he doesn't like even when they are playing well, constantly attacked Rafa and his style of play during his time with us and called for Rafa to be sacked for finishing second.Originally posted by BigChief View PostFair enough, then that's how it is.
RIP The Liverpool Way.
At least I have the memories.
Seems rather unbelievable you accept this ****e. And you have the nerve to say I have an agenda.
As for the fans feeling, how often do the Kop sing about Roy? That says a hell of a lot.

Agree with all of this, think Babel and Pacheco were both injured. Plus how slow is Shelvey? haOriginally posted by Exiled_red View PostI've not read much of this thread, I was out watching the game last night.

My game summary is lucky, lucky and lucky again.
Stevie's heroics came to rescue but everything else was absolute **** and I cannot be happier that John was there to witness this awfulness.
Horrible tactics, crappy strategy, defending again too deep, most players playing in the wrong position etc.
Few positives were GJ (was very decent,no defensive mistakes, made some real exciting runs along the touchline, few nice shots and crosses etc.), Raul (imo he had a good game but again forced to play in the wrong positions and dragged all over the pitch so no wonder that his qualities are greatly minimized), Soto (very solid and he should be given preference over Carra on Sunday) and Lucas (played just enough to impose himself and took the control of the defensive midfield).
All in all, to me, one extra nail in Roy's coffin.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Not very. He's certainly not lightning quick like Lennon or Bale but he's no slouch. He's very tall so may give the impression that he's not moving quick due to his long stride pattern a la Ngog - the opposite of Riise who looked like he was running fast but was actually slow as ****.Originally posted by lancinleeds View PostAgree with all of this, think Babel and Pacheco were both injured. He didn't play in his preferred position but I also have some concerns about his pace.Originally posted by Ben_Itez View PostNot very. He does not appear to be quick enough and I don't compare him to likes of Lenno, Bale, etc.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Only seen the highlights but unlike earlier in the season we are now on occasion stringing more than one progressive pass together on occasion and some of the movement off the ball looks a lot better. Still don't think the overall setup is very good and like the last couple of games we seem to have achieved the maximum possible result from a pretty mediocre performance."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I didnt say you were comparing him to Lennon. Bale etc but your original post said 'How slow is Shelvey'.......i dont think he's slow. Obviously he was out of position and probably not quick enough to be a winger but we know that's not what he is.Originally posted by Mostar View PostHe didn't play in his preferred position but I also have some concerns about his pace.

Personally i think he's more than quick enough for a midfielder.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'
