Personally I thought Kelly was really great today bearing inmind his lack of experience and he was up against cole and malouda
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

Think Chelsea not having Essien, and to a lesser extent Lampard, meant it was much easier for Lucas and Gerrard. Chelsea had a soft centre today and that's unusual.

There wasn't a single bad performance. Even Konchesky wasn't terrible.

                  And Torres obviously.

Shows what he can do when he's given some quick quality service rather than being asked to deal with high hoofballs on his own.

Still very unconvinced by the manager and tactics though. Two outstanding moments from Torres set against 75 odd minutes of sitting deep and hoping for the best does not a top four team make. 69% second half possession for Chelsea at one point? At home?

On another day, we would have paid for that and, over the course of the season, we will.

                  Wise up man, **** sake.

We got the decesive 2 goals, we had 7 shots to Chelsea's 5. We came very close to a third a few times, we could have had a penalty.

You expect us to go 2 up against by far the best team in the Country, the current Champions and we continue to drive forward, it never happens.

                  Can't please everyone.

Totaaly chuffed with the result and performance to an extent. It is impossible to dominate Chelsea for the full 90 mins. We did 60mins tho'

But I'm still uncomfortable with how little possession we had and how little we controlled the game. Then again Chelsea are a top team so I suppose it's not necessarily damning and at least we were defending much higher up the pitch.

Good performance and he's definitely one for the future. Got skinned a few times by Drogba and Malouda, but let's face it, he won't have to face players like that every week. Defence was good today.

Top class team performance today and some heroic individual displays - Kelly, Lucas, Gerrard and of course Torres stood out but then again the whole team put in a big shift.

We're looking more solid at the back, Gerrard and Lucas are forming a strong partnership in the middle of the field, Maxi's in good form, Torres is sharper by the game and the Kuyt is back things are looking up

I hope we use today as a stepping stone to greater things and build on today's performance, we were fantastic for 50 minutes today and we defended well after that, also we could well have had a penalty. Torres looked sharper and the whole team looked as if it was clicking more, swear I even saw Skrtel win a header .

I just hope we continue to improve and Roy and indeed the players don't get ahead of themselves, playing with confidence is great, but overconfidence can be just as dangerous as not having enough, we aren't quite out the woods just yet.
