    Agreed

As a player he was first rate, hes definitely on the wane but I'd still have in my side more often than not (at this moment anyway)

I'm fairly convinced he was complicit in the sacking of Rafa and in the choosing of Hodgson as his successor that to me tells me how ****ing stupid the lad really is more than any malicious intent

The only thing you would quesiton is the new contract secured a day before the takeover was completed smacks of "jobs for the boys" to me and I'm not that comfortable with that

Oh and as for the comments/abuse to the fans I believe he did that (without provocation) because hes passionate, reactionary (coin throw anyone) and above all else like most English players ****ing stupid.

Also issuing a denial through TLW is a shthouse thing to do and smacks of trying to curry favour with the support when he knows hes in the wrong

Completely true and indicative of 'forum' style opinion forming.

When someone is good they are 'great' and when bad they are instantly a 'c*nt'. I think people are just searching for scapegoats and now Tom and George aren't around anyone will do. Rumour is instantly turned into fact and opinions are formed as such. The rumour mill gathers momentum and opinion gets out of control.

Carra is far from perfect, in both his attitude and ability. But for what he has given to the club over the past decade he deserves respect.

What ever happened to 'We all dream of a team of Carragher's' eh?

I think this says more about how badly the club has been run than anything else really. In no way should players be in the position to affect the hiring and firing of managers, they are the last people likely to have an objective opinion. Gerrard and Carragher, though possibly asked should be left to concentrate on playing. I doubt either of them would have chosen the last manager*, or even liked him. But he was responsible for their best form.

Hopefully in Henry assisted by Comolli, we have people with the ability to turn this whole sorry mess around. We need a manager to crush a few egos and rebuild the team spirit the club was founded upon. Lets hope they can find him.

          * I have decided to refer to the last manager as 'the last manager' as mentioning him by name insights repeated bull**** arguements.

There has probably been an element of having to maintain a scouse quota with Ged and Rafa in the 2000's so from this perspective Carragher has probably benefitted more than most from still being picked despite not playing well. Its arguable that if he was French or Spanish he would have half the games under his belt that he currently has.
Who were these better players then Carra?

That whole thing reeks of someone pissed off that Carra might have had something to do with Rafa leaving.

Denial might have been the wrong choice of word

Excuse would probably have been better

Carragher claimed he had been abused and given the finger by a fan and that was why he responded accordingly

I know a lad who was right at the front near that incident and he said there was no abuse or gestures made to Carragher it was all directed towards Hodgson

Lot of speculation, if's and maybe's on here, tut tut. Nobody on here really knows what went on. I have so much respect for Carra (LFC Legend) even if he is playing ****e these days, so i shall leave this thread to escalate even further which it certainly will. Enjoy.

                          I think this is correct.

he is still our best centre back because although skrtel has the physical attributes he lacks the mental ones that made carragher a world class player. Agger cannot be relied upon and soto is as good in the air as he is poor on the ground.

If not by talent then by default carra is our best centre half. I also have no doubt whatsoever that he was involved with gerrard and purslow in the coup to get rid of rafa.

As for the choice of managers, im not sure hodgson would have been his first choice (i would put my money on kenny) but having expressed a desire for a more british style of management whos out there who's british and can manage liverpool.

The list of candidates include, redknapp, hodgson, mclaren, curbishley and then the list gets even more ridiculous. Hodgson was probably the best of a bad bunch.

I would like to see carra hang his boots up after this season and concentrate on coaching but he still has a lot to offer liverpool football club and its future.

That nobody knows **** all so why talk about something you know nothing about? Its pointless and pure speculation against a LFC Legend.

Dont assume that people know as little as you do

That seems to be the basis of many of your arguments on here
