Standard chartered was 20m a season but was performance based.
Since we've hardly been in the CL since we signed that deal and have finished 6th,7th and 8th I'd be surprised if we are getting much more than the 8m Carlsberg were paying.

The two cup finals may have added some good value last season.

Although in saying that though selling Agger is madness. Rather take massiev hot on Carroll & selling Spearing & Downing

Dont think they will budge from that, particularly as they know LFC want to unload and they know the player is only interested in going back to them

As for the Standard Chartered deal think it ends in 2014 and I wouldnt be too certain that the owners wont find a better deal. They surprised the **** out of everyone with the Warrior deal (including adidas) so I wouldnt put it past them

Dont think the Standard Chartered deal was performance based at least the £20 million per annum wasnt, but there might have been add-ons over and above that based on performance

i think any manager may be asked to show he can be shrewd and not waste all our money before they grant access to that sort of money again.

Yep, exactly that. Last season's debacle of a recruitment drive could only have been taken on trust. Fair enough, they empowered a team to make those signings, but there is no way they'll be that open with investment again.

Its a 4 year deal which we signed in September 2009 which started June/July 2010
