Really rate Agger but he got injured and now needs to fight to get his place back. Skrtel is the obvious one to give way but he's been playing very well of late.

I'd prefer him back in the team too. Anyway, if we're going to be playing three at the back for a majority of the season then all CB's will get their chances.

Didn't Agger's ommission from the team also coincide with a change for the 3-5-2 formation more or less, and we have conceeded more since changing the balance of the team.

We have also scored more with the change, which is a good thing.

Joint 3rd best defensive record in the league conceding 8 goals in 9 games would suggest the defence are doing something right.

Definitely more of an issue with how we set up that the personnel involved. Individually they have all played well, but there are certain defensive flaws in the system.

I don't think the Sakho signing was an act of desperation personally. I think Sakho has done really well for us, and we can't get past the fact that Carra had to come back in during the last half of last season due to our centre-backs being so poor.

I think most would have been a little disappointed if Toure was the sole CB we signed this summer as a replacement for Carra and didn't address the issues we had with Skrtel & Agger. They're not very solid together and no one knew whether we'd get a full season from Toure
