If it was purely a clash of personalities then I don't think Agger would have moved to Brondby. There must be more than an element of truth about the fact that his body can't cope with such a demand league and campaign, otherwise you'd have thought plenty of other clubs would have been in for the classy defender. It isn't as if there are many out there.

Sounds more to me that Brendan was trying was rest Agger (knowing his frailty) and for some reason that wasn't communicated well. I mean let's be honest - Agger plays seven games in a row and then plays really well in the eight or gets injured?
It's a shame, but at least Agger is explaining that perhaps it was him...Really?

Barely figured so far hasn't he ?
Only one full 90min appearance and a couple turns on the bench I think with only the one win out of the last half dozen games.
If he was still here, he'd only be sitting on our bench and only when he's 100% fit. That's about his level.
Surely it's now time for this thread to be moved ?"I will make the boys feel your support"

Really ?? ...... Or is it that we think he's the level of CB we hoped he turn into years ago, but really never did for a variety of reasons.Originally posted by Paddy View PostThe point is that he is better than any of our current CB's. So yes, it is a relevant discussion.
I know he's the holder of the 'Only Professional Footballer to Ever Be Dominated by Yaya Sanogo' trophy, but my point would be that even if he could step in and do a job every now and then at the back in conjunction with one of the other CBs still here, it wouldn't address the underlying cause of our defensive weaknesses as I don't believe it's purely all down to the CBs we have at our current disposal."I will make the boys feel your support"

I'm not sure any of what I have seen translated make that clear at all. Whilst it is clear that he and Rodgers disagreed most of what he says seems to indicate that the disagreement was about footballing issues. He also talks about his fitness (which is quite related to football)."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I haven't read the translated stuff so that might well be true. Today there's an interview in Jyllandsposten (danish newspaper) where he hints at other reasons, saying that the story behind his bad relation to Brendan isn't suitable for the newspaper. Earlier he has stated that there was 'far between' (direct translation) him and Brendan, which in context comes across as a personal matter. Elsewhere he accepts that Brendan is a very competent manager.
