Apparently opinions of the Bodge are unanimously scathing across most LFC fan forums.

Unfair to me. But everyone is entitled to their opinion and how they express it. I can't say that I've been overly impressed to date, but I appreciate that momumental change had to and is happening and how long it takes to change the culture of an organisation. I'm willing to give him until the end of the season before I go on the attack. Things are progressing slowly albeit from a very low starting position.

I think peoples expectations have gone way out of touch with reality, which only adds to the pressure on Roy.

I would add that the internet is a very powerful medium for spreading opinion and generating pressure, something an old schooler like Roy isn't familiar with. John Henry certainly appreciates this aspect.

I think you'll find the scathing criticism of Roy is uniform across all LFC forums. It's not just an Est1892 thing.

The volume of fans who oppose his evil reign speaks for itself, and as the old saying goes, a hundred million Bon Jovi fans can't be wrong.

            What change is that then?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I just think it goes against the Liverpool ethos to not give the manager at least some time to show what he can do. I agree things haven't gone very well but some of the abuse levelled at him here imo is completely unjustified and over the top. I just think we're losing our way if we're calling the manager a c*nt and telling him to f*ck off less than halfway through his first season.

He seems to be getting the best out of most of our players at present - Maxi, Lucas, Babel, Ngog etc yet people seem to rather take Torres sulky attitude as an indicator as to how the players feel about the manager. Whether these players are good enough to wear a Liverpool jersey is another question but most of them were not his signings! Of course Konchesky isn't Liverpool class but give the lad a break for f*cks sake, he's trying his best whilst having to deal with the derision coming from the stands.

Yes, I may be a lurker as my post count will testify but I'd just like to see what the members on the site outside of the vocal 'F*ck off Roy' ones think.

I'm not a Roy Hodgson fan but as i don't condone the barrage of personal abuse he has got on here, i voted Unfair. The internet can be nasty business.

I understand what you saying about ethos. However you have to realise that the reason he is so hated is because unnecessary negative crap that he comes out with. Everytime he opens his mouth it shows he doesn't understand the club, the fans or expectations. If you walk in and immediately start trying to dampen expectations and try to make your job easier by bringing everyone down to fulhams level then you deserve to be treated like the enemy

Don't care.............................in that its nothing personal, just that he's a joke of a Liverpool manager. Completely out of his depth, completely out of touch with the ethos of the club, completely out of touch with what is required to manage top-class players........................complete waste of space as a manager.

Probably a boring ****** in person as well.............. (wait......that was personal)

OK, thanks for clarifying, although I don't for a moment think he's the right person to be in the forefront of that. For a start, he was terrible before any of that changed.

And he's a real **** in public who has failed to connect with the supporters. He has to take a lot of the blame for that. It's not like he hasn't had a supportive media to help him.
