Glen deserves a pat on the back for saying that. And for any of those who thinks what GJ said is harsh, watch and listen to Merson comments on Sky whenever they are discussing Liverpool. He's a smug, classless cunt.

Its on his personal webspace and not to a reporter directly. He's just said what we all felt about that idiot Merson so all's fair.

When Merson hears his remarks I'd imagine he'd be taken aback. He probably thinks all his misdemeanours are in the past and forgotten about. This will remind him otherwise. My guess is that it will shut the soft cunt up for a while. Well done again Glen for fighting your corner.

I don't understand why ex-players can get away with slagging current players off every week and no one says a word.

**** Paul Merson. The guy is ****ing incoherent prick.

Merson is there to be controversial, although Johnson may be right he's just as dumb as Merson for posting it. He wanna seriously concentrate on his own performances as he's been embarrassing for LFC. Best way to answer the critics back is to do it on the pitch where it matters most, then you don't have to post stupid **** on your twitter page.

And comments from an 'alcoholic drug abuser' obviously did upset him enough to post it publicly on his twitter, and Johnson will have some job if he even wants to be half the player the alco was reagrdless of what an idiot pundit Merson is, he was a class player. Anyways, very amusing stuff nonetheless

                          Can't agree Dan.

All this "he's a footballer, a role model for youngsters" etc is bollocks.

They are up on a pedestal because we put them up there, but they're still only human. I don't know what Paul Merson has said, but as Sean has eluded to we take stick, so it's about time we stopped taking it on the chin and dished it back out.

If someone had a dig at you, would you just smile and get on about your day? I mean, I rant about people on my twitter and find it quite therapeutic!

Merson was a superb player, denying it because he's an idiot is stupid.

What about denying it because I have an accurate grasp of what 'superb' means? Is that more acceptable?

Yeah John Barnes did well for England didn't he, so did Robbie Fowler, Le Tissier, Ian Wright etc list goes on, so many top players that didn't cut it at international level. Just because you failed at international level doesn't mean your weren't a good player.

                                Don't hurt yourself Craig
