    Arsenal away Build up

Are any of the injured players due back for this one or do we play the same X1?

Playing Flanagan away from home in a big match like this could be a gamble!

    4231 again ?

    Thoughts ?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Didnt we play a narrow 4-4-2 as apposed to 4-2-3-1?

      Got to be...

      -------------Carroll
      Suarez------Miereles-------Kuyt
      ---------Lucas-Spearing
      Aurelio----MS-----JC------Flanagan
      -------------Reina

Huge test for Lucas and Spearing against Wilshere and Diaby.

        Can't argue with that.

Those that killed her, were following the law.

Yup makes sense to stick with this unless Johnson is back fit which I don't think he will be.

I only saw the 2nd half on-line so I have no idea, but I did think it was 4231.

It's all semantics anyway. When they had the ball we dropped into 442, but when we attacked the front 4 were quite fluid, with Dirk and Raul coiming inside quite a bit, so you could probably call it a 4231 too. Best of both worlds

i think it was more like a 4-5-3................with kuyt and suarez playing both on the wing and up front at the same time!!!!

Barring injury, I see no reason to change the team - we did win after all!

We've not really got anything left to play for this season, so there's no reason to rush back any of our more experienced players. So let Johnson get fully recovered, and lets see what Flanagan can do with a couple of games.

If that was the case Frank we are deep in the ****. We played with 13 men according to your calculations.

I fear what an experienced manager like Wenger could learn from watching our match vs City having now seen young Flanagan play. Away from home, big crowd heckling him etc. Not sure he's ready for that personally. We'll see maybe but I think if someone else at the back is ready they'll come in and replace him.

Think this match is going to be a corker. I fully expect Carroll to score against a poor Arsenal defence, but I also expect them to do the same to us. Think they might scrape a 3-2 or 4-3 victory.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Just hope Arsharvin doesn't play as he has a good scoring record against us doesn't he !

We don’t really have anyone else though, unless we move Carra out again and play Kyrgiakos which would be suicide against Arsenal.

Nah, fully expect him to start. Kenny has often said that if a player gets in and plays well then the jersey is his to lose regardless of who’s waiting in the wings.

I thought the same about dropping him in against Man City and he managed that fine. Besides, Arsenal isn't exactly a noisy crowd.

But you're right, it would be a big test to put him in. Do we know when Johnsons likely to be back?
