I like them John Henry seems genuine though that is a judgement call that may yet be proven wrong. I think they want to make a lot of money but to do that they have to make us into winners which is fine by me!

They seem good people, but i have'nt really made a definitive judgement on them yet, because i feel it's far to early.
So far they've done the bare minimum of what i expected any new owner to do.
So for now, my judgement remains in the future, and will be based on witnessing that future, but as i say they seem good people, and i'm impressed with how they've gone about things thus far.

Aye, I think everyone would agree with you there. But that's using the hindsight that for some reason doesn't apply here!? Look at Newcastle over the years to find out what happens when you let the crowd make your decisions.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostBut put it this way, if John Henry had his time again, knowing what he does now about Roy and Kenny, do you think he'd wait until January to make the change?
I think if he had his time again, he would do it sooner. And the point is, whilst he didnt know what he does now about Roy and Kenny, the fans did and made the point early on.
Not read the rest of the thread yet but the whole Roy debacle directly cost us around £20m in the end, not including potential competition revenue. There's no way a well run business would just write off that sort of money without being absolutely, cast iron certain that it's the correct decision.
They've always said to us it will take 2 or 3 seasons to get where we want to be and in my view it's pretty obvious we're on track.Hello mert.

but as far as they knew when they took over, switching managers may have cost them cl qualification. you and i know that's wrong, but when it's your money, you won't want to take anyone's word for it. you want to wait till you understand the situation and make sure you get it right.dave of mutilation

people need time to make sensible decisions. Moving to quickly can backfire as well. Also they had a strategy and wanted to get the structure right to make sure the correct decisions were made at the club. I dont for one minute think that they wanted bodge in longterm but they didnt think he would do that badly that they had to act when they did.

I didn't vote for anyone - I had no idea who I wanted to take over and was still stunned by Rafa leaving.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Posti recognize lots of what i would consider to be knowledgeable posters who voted for neither of the above
I do remember being horrified when Bodger was being lined up and thinking that if we'd been told a year earlier that Rafa would be replaced by him we'd have pissed ourselves laughing.Last edited by Helios Creed; 13-05-11, 09:22 AM.

You know full well that qualifying for the CL would've brought in comfortably more than what was spent to appoint and then sack Hodgson
