am i just not seeing the good play from this lad. i know its about potential, but we shouldnt be paying 20m for a youngster who may become a first teamer.

Whose clock are you talking about exactly?

You just posted exactly the same thing, word for word in the Downing thread....have you forgotten Carrol or have you just not got there yet?

Got to disagree with this! Thought he had a good solid game. As he gets more game time and settles in at the club he is impressing me more and more

I think Henderson is the new Lucas.
He plays in the Liverpool "pass & move" philosophy, plays the simple ball rather than trying to hit ambitious (but risky) Hollywood balls. As he matures & gains confidence / experience, his game will develop / improve. Much the same way as Lucas has.

He does a lot of the 'dirty' work in midfield like Kuyt did for us on the right, i.e. chasing and harrying people with his fantastic work rate. The one bonus is he has cracking skill too, unlike Kuyt. But he is choosing to keep it simple in his first season and that's a sound plan.
          One tit for another.

I thought I was in the Downing thread when I read that

I'm slowly warming to Henderson, think he will prove a good buy in the end, tidy player with loads of room to improve.

On a number of occasions last night he had the opportunity to move forward with the ball, but chose to check and step inside and pass on. In addition, he didn't do very much to support Carroll or run on for him.

I'd like to see him run at people instead of checking back especially when we have 9 other red shirts to cover him.
I make no apologies, this is me

Kenny would appear to disagree with you.

He starts practically every game and I can't remember him being substituted.

This thing about wanting players to run at / beat defenders seems to be a very British trait. It's how we play in the school playground. And it seems to stay with us all our lives.
                    Oh I don't know.

How many games has he missed? I'd say he has established himself as a first teamer already.

That, from you, about Henderson is fulsome praise indeed

I think he's going to be class. Really like him.

I've been quite happy with Henderson for a while now. Downing's my bugbear. Utter ****e that lad is.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

And while we're at it Henderson is a much better player then Cleverly at Man U yet he gets hyped all over the place and some idiot journalists slate Henderson but have Cleverley down as a certain for the Euro 2012 team let alone squad.

                                Ha you'll be converted eventually.
Once we sign someone who actually gets in the box to help Carroll/Suarez and scores goals you'll see him as a very effective wide player.

He won't ever be 10/10 but he creates chances and opportunities that we are wasting at the moment
