And I have to say considering what he can offer today and taking his potential into account, I think it's not too bad a deal for us. How much did Theo go for? He didn't offer as much so soon, neither does Wickham etc.

I know I'm going to regret this but....

I we actually bought him for 13M plus 3M add ons, why do the press always quote 20M??

Because the press is mainly full of ****

The Echo have used the £13 million plus £3 million add ons figure and imo they are about as reliable as it comes in regards to LFC stories

We would he ever become 'the new Gerrard'? Don't take this personally but it gets my goat when people call anyone 'the new... insert x'. He's the current and future Jordan Henderson. Nothing else.

There are loads of kids that come in for the price you have suggested, and they do play in the reserves. They are generally younger than Henderson. Often, we have found they disapear without trace.

Out of interest, who would you play instead of Henderson?
i only used the phrase "the new gerrard" as this has been mentioned several times by others. i do hope he comes good, but again, im just saying that for that sort of dough he should already be good... you dont buy potential for 15m+

                wrt; who to play instead...
this depends very much on where you would want to play him, then consider who would be better in that position. i wouldnt play him on the right. i would prefer glenn johnson on our right wing. he can beat a man [unlike downing, lol] and WILL get a cross in. he will also chip in with many assists and a few goals. if his preferred position is in the centre mid you would have to put him behind gerrard, maxi, adam, lucas and the tea lady. he is probably on par with shelvey, maybe?

flanagan or kelly can do a more than adequate job at rb.

                  Tea lady?

I'd like to see how you compare to her.
                  Oh I don't know.

I'll tell you what, I think he's quicker running with the ball at feet than he is without, he's lightning quick.

He really surprised me when he made that run down t'left. I like his hunched over running style too

I said the same thing in one of my earlier posts.

I was very pleasantly surprised with that burst of pace as I didn't think he was that quick.

He is far from finished product but he has the potential to be a very good player if he continues to work on improving in few areas.

I really like him but there's nobody else on his wavelength apart from Gerrard

Good footballer, but one restricted by the tactics employed by whatever side he plays in.

Can't understand criticism of henderson, he has fitted in very nicely and doesn't seem to look out of place in central midfield at all. Bit of a ropey start when he was pushed out to the right, but other than that, he's going to be a good signing for many years to come.
