Apparently he is off to milan for 8.5m next week. Think we are been bent over here. We should be demanding at least 14m for him.

we are in absolutely no position to demand anything.

Hardly anyone wants him, and those that do aren't going to pay £14m in a million years. Now is he worth £14m? in comparison to other transfers that have taken place this summer and taking into account his abilities, then yes but ultimately he's worth what someone will offer, be it a packet of crisps and a quick fumble behind the bike sheds or not.

8.5m pounds and not euro's would be a fair price, he gets the move he so craves, we get some cash, another player off the wage bill and we close the page.

Shame but €9m isn't the end of the world.

Aquilani should not be leaving under any circumstances, he is our second best midfielder after Lucas.

It is a crying shame that the club decide to spend 20million on Henderson, when we have Aquilani returning from Juve, I hope he stays.

I have his name on my shirt, i'm invested.

I really think that Gerrard will miss most of this season, for that reason I think it makes more sense to keep Aquilani than sell for 8.5m.
He will still have two years left on his contract next summer.
However if what Lec says is true and he wants out at all costs then there is not a lot we can do.

Very disappointed if he goes, especially for that price.

If he wants out I think we should sell him ASAP, even at a discount, get his wages off our books, get some cash in and buy a defender.

Wenger would've told them to stick their £8.5m where the sun doesn't shine.

We should play hardball here. If nobody wants to pay good money, then he stays and plays and becomes our best midfielder for the season. Then moves next season for decent money.

Frigging hell, a couple of days ago people were happy with a loan. Let's not be too quick to make a decision on what he's worth. If he is capable of playing consistently and playing to his potential then he is worth more than 9 million. You've only got to look at some of the other players who've gone for around that price to realise this.

A few top clubs seem to have come out the wood work. Perhaps they are bidding so low because they realise we're prepared to take a loss, which makes it worth a gamble.

If we sold him for this though, it would be far better than another loan at least.

IMO we should be looking for £10m minimum
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's not because nobody wants him, clearly there is a queue of clubs willing to buy him in Italy but they don't have any money. Italy are going bankrupt, hardly a cash rich country.
                                Are we winning?
